This is the final of six total games between the two clubs over a seven day stretch, with the first 2018 1ST HALF STANDINGS three match-ups taking place at LoanMart Field in Rancho Cucamonga. This is the third series played at The Hangar for Rancho NORTH W L PCT GB during the first-half schedule. Stockton 37 22 .627 - VS LANCASTER: This is the 12th of 28 overall meetings between the two clubs and the ninth of 15 games at The Hangar. The Visalia 31 28 .525 6.0 Quakes last met with the JetHawks in a three-game series at LoanMart Field 6/1-6/3 and won two-of-three against the South Division San Jose 30 29 .508 7.0 opponents. Starting pitcher Dean Kremer was credited with the win in the first game of the series, as the Quakes shutout Lancaster Modesto 25 34 .424 12.0 2-0. In game two of the set, Stetson Allie pitched a scoreless fifth inning of relief and secured his first victory of the season. Follow- ing a 6-4 loss to Lancaster on Wednesday, the Quakes lead the season series six-games-to-five. SOUTH W L PCT GB LAST TIME OUT: The Lancaster JetHawks received some good starting pitching and unlike Tuesday's series-opener, got some Lake Elsinore 30 29 .508 - solid work out of the bullpen, holding off the Quakes on Wednesday night at The Hangar, winning 6-4. Lancaster jumped on Rancho Rancho Cucamonga 28 31 .575 2.0 Lancaster 28 31 .575 2.0 starter Tony Gonsolin for three first-inning runs, with Willie Abreau connecting for an opposite-field homer to highlight the inning, Inland Empire 27 32 .458 3.0 giving the JetHawks a 3-0 lead. The JetHawks' bullpen didn't start out so strong on Wednesday, as Heath Holder gave up a two-run homer to Hamlet Marte and a solo-shot to Rylan Bannon, his league-best 15th of the year, as Rancho made it a two-run game in the seventh, at 6-4. That's as close as the Quakes would get though, as Lawrence came on in the eighth after a Logan Landon double, getting Thomas to ground out to end the inning before working a 1-2-3 ninth. CAL LEAGUE SCOREBOARD GROUNDING THE HAWKS: On the offensive end, Gavin Lux and Rylan Bannon have shown the most success against Lancaster Sunday pitching this season. Lux is batting .395 (17-for-43) with five doubles, four home runs and 12 RBI's to go along with a team-high OBP Stockton 11 at San Jose 1 of .458. Bannon is batting .318 (14-for-44) with a team-high seven home runs and a slugging percentage of .909. Rancho Cucamonga 4 at Lancaster 6 BANNON'S BIG WEEK: Rylan Bannon was named California League Player of the week on Monday (6/4) following a strong offen- Lake Elsinore 4 at Inland Empire 3 -- F/11 sive showing to close the month of May. Over the week, Bannon hit .458 with four HR's, eight RBI's and six runs scored. ONE RUN NO FUN: Rancho has struggled in one-run games this season going 5-13 in tightly contested matchups. Jeren Kendall has reached on a hit in seven of his last nine games. After homering in four consecutive games over a five-game hit streak, Gavin Lux was 0-for-5 on Wednesday, seeing his stretch come to a close. Filling Sopko's spot Inland Empire at Rancho Cucamonga, 7:05 PM of the roster, RHP Parker Curry has been transferred from Tulsa to Rancho Cucamonga. San Jose at Modesto, 7:05 PM KREMER WITH A "K": Dean Kremer (4-2) is scheduled to make his 13th start of the season for the Quakes and second start Visalia at Stockton, 7:10 PM against the JetHawks. Kremer pitched against Lancaster his last time out on 6/1 at LoanMart Field, allowing no runs on one hit over five innings and striking out nine in his fourth win of the season. Kremer has not allowed a run over his last two starts and surrenderd a single hit over 11 total innings. To make room for Duke, right-handed pitcher Jose Lopez was designated for assignment. Duke, who will turn 36 in April, agreed to terms with Cincinnati on Feb. 2. The club will get added veteran presence in its bullpen. He is a 14-year Major League veteran. In 72 games combined for the Twins and Mariners last season, Duke was 5-5 with a 4.15 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. Over 52 innings, he allowed 57 hits including one home run with 21 walks and 51 strikeouts. Left-handed hitters batted .220 against him, compared to .311 by right-handed hitters. But the Reds do not view the ground-ball pitcher as a one-out left-handed situational reliever. "He's a guy that likes to pitch a full inning and expects to be in there to pitch a full inning," Reds president of baseball operations Dick Williams said. "He's had a lot of success against lefties, but we are comfortable that he's not necessarily going to be a one-out guy." Duke is returning to the Reds after pitching for them during the 2013 season, a stint that helped turn his career around after being released by the Nationals earlier that year.

In total, the new player development system includes 179 teams across 17 leagues in 43 states and four provinces. Including the AZL and GCL, there are 209 teams across 19 leagues in 44 states and four provinces. That includes the 150 teams in the PDL and AZL/GCL along with the four partner leagues: the American Association, Atlantic League, Frontier League and Pioneer League. The long-time Triple-A structure of the International and Pacific Coast Leagues have been replaced by Triple-A East and Triple-A West. Triple-A East consists on 20 teams; all 14 from the International League, plus teams moving from the Pacific Coast League, the Southern League and the independent Atlantic League. Triple-A West is comprised of nine Pacific Coast League teams and one addition from the Atlantic League.
