Basecamp Day Equipment List Yosemite & Sierra Nevada, CA

It is extremely important to the success and safety of your trip that you bring all the items listed below. The weather can be either warm or very windy and cold. Be prepared to encounter all types of conditions. If you have any questions about what to bring just give us a call or throw it in the car and ask us at the trailhead.

EQUIPMENT & FOOTWEAR Lightweight hiking boots, high or low top Internal frame pack – 20-35 liters (we can provide) Ski poles or collapsible trekking poles (we can provide, optional)

HIKING & INSULATING LAYERS – Gore-Tex or equivalent waterproof-breathable 2 Short sleeve synthetic t-shirts Long sleeve synthetic top - lightweight Lightweight fleece pullover down or fleece jacket (optional) Synthetic hiking pants shorts synthetic socks - No cotton Lightweight liner gloves (optional)

OTHER CLOTHES You are encouraged to bring other clothes to change into after the hiking is done for the day. These can be either cotton or synthetic layers.

OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS 2-one liter wide-mouth water containers (Note: A hydration system such as camelback works great) Swiss Army-Type or small pocket knife (optional) Sun block (Rated 25+) Lip balm Sunhat

CAMPING GEAR We will be proving a fully equipped and catered basecamp for you including all gear and eating utensils. Sleeping bags, pads are all included. You are welcome to bring your own and pad if you like though.
