A NEW BY ALLISON WATERS-MERRITT Palatka Daily News INTERLACHEN — A 61-year-old Interlachen Elementary School parent was charged with a first-degree misdemeanor for allegedly exposing himself on school proper- ty, an offense report from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said. William Blankenship was at the school before 3 p.m., when state Highway Patrol trooper Kelvin Vega walked past the sus- COURSE pect’s car and noticed the suspect making a stroking motion with his hand, the report said. The report said Vega, who was off-duty, was at the school to pick up his child. Vega reportedly called the sheriff’s office.
