UPDATE:

CHANGES FOR SPRING 2014

In Fall 2013, 119 people answered the Intramural assessment...the highest amount of responses ever gained from the Stetson community. Here’s what we have to say in regards to your feedback!

50.0% of respondents claimed that they did not know where important program documents are located.

Therefore, we’re including all of the Rules within the semesterly schedule on the Intramural Sports website so that participants may access them whenever they’d like.

35.5% of respondents believe that the current roster limitations are too small.

Therefore, we’ve increased the maximum number of people allowed on a roster for our Spring 2014 sports.

Several qualitative responses indicated a desire from the Stetson community to change the limitations of Club Sports athletes on Intramural Sports teams participating in that athlete’s same or comparative sport.

Therefore, we’ve removed the regulation of Club Sports players participating in Intramural Sports in their same or comparative sport. UPDATE:

CHANGES FOR SPRING 2014

One of the loudest, most decisive responses we received was that respondents want Dodgeball.

Dodgeball is included in the Spring 2014 calendar and will be offered on Friday afternoons, beginning in late March.

33.0% of respondents who did not participate in Fall 2013 claimed that they did not like the variety of sports being offered by the program.

In Spring 2014, we will be running , , , Dodgeball, and leagues, while also introducing two new sports (Battleship and Trivia) to the Stetson campus.

From the participant perspective, we want to encourage everyone to come out and support their team, whether that is as a player or spectator. We want to supply our players with a release from the everyday stresses of class, homework, and busy schedules. UPDATE:

CHANGES FOR SPRING 2014

If you’re a fan, cheer! Cheer loud and proud for your family, friends, brothers, or sisters. It is the participants who make the program such a dynamic, enthusiastic tradition at Stetson, and we do not want to take those important game elements from you, the players and fans.

In addition to the listed items above, the Intramural Sports staff will move forward with a continued effort in stressing quality customer service and game management from the Assistant Director, Graduate Assistant(s), Supervisors, Officials, and Administrative Assistants.

72.2% of respondents agreed that all levels of the staff were respectful and courteous when approached in the office and/or the playing site. However, just 48.7% percent agreed that the staff was knowledgeable of current policies and procedures.

An effort towards a clear, solidified message to assist in achieving the participant’s personal wellness-based goals for participation will be a point of emphasis to the staff moving forward.
