By Train Rochford Rail Station is the nearest National Rail station connections can be made from London via either Liverpool Street or Fenchurch Street and we are four mins walk from the station.

By Car or Taxi There is limited public parking at the hospital itself so we encourage patients and visitors not to travel by car wherever this is possible. If you do need to drive there is limited metered parking available at the train station which can be reimbursed.

There are two entrances to the Hospital so if you need to be dropped off or picked up from Poplar Ward use the entrance via Sainsburys.

There are a small number of parking bays for drivers with Blue Badges.

By Bike We encourage visitors to cycle to the hospital and cycle parking is available at the hospital.

NELFT formerly Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Service (EWMHS) Children’s and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) across Southend, Essex and Thurrock will be called Emotional wellbeing and mental health services (EWMHS) and will be run by NELFT. The services have the long term aim of responding earlier to children’s needs to help prevent, reduce or delay the need for more specialist interventions.

Family Solutions- South Essex (Castle Point) This team is aimed at helping families with a range of issues on a voluntary basis. Family Solutions work with families for up to 12 months by helping them identify solutions to their problems. In the initial stages contact with the family can be on an intensive basis reducing over time as they become more confident at addressing their problems. To qualify, families must meet at least three of the following criteria:The family household has one or more people under 18 with a proven offence in the last 12 months and/or where any family member is involved in anti-social behaviour. A child has issues with school attendance, school exclusions or is attending a Pupil Referral Unit. The parents receive either Employment and Support Allowance, Incapacity Benefit, Carers Allowance, Severe Disablement Allowance, Income Support and /or Jobseekers Allowance if the family is experiencing significant problems for example: around parental drug or alcohol misuse; domestic violence, emotional or mental health concerns, homeless, imposing parental boundaries, teenage pregnancy or adult offending. Referrals can be made via a referral form on the website.

Local Offer- Essex The Local Offer is published as part of the SEND reforms under the Children and Families Act 2014. It is an online portal giving information to children and young people aged 0 to 25 with SEN and/or disabilities (SEND), their families and carers and the practitioners and professionals working with them.

U Matter 2 This project by Hamelin Trust to offer a free service for the support of all adult (unpaid) carers in Basildon, Brentwood, Rochford, Chelmsford and Castle Point. There are daytime, evening and weekend clubs/courses for socialising and up-skilling such as: rambling, furniture repair/upholstery, ICT skills, Sewing, Yoga, Pilates and reflexology sessions. Daytime sessions and events may include baking, flower arranging, art exhibitions and fashion shows. Support at home may be available to allow some ‘me time’ or assistance with practical tasks. Children and Young People with Disabilities Service (CYPD) - Essex County Council Social care is available to support some people who have learning disabilities, physical or sensory impairment or who have particular mental health difficulties. The service is made up of four area social work teams (0-15 years and 16-25 years), Child and Family Support Teams, Information, Advice and Guidance teams, and an Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation Service which covers the whole county. The Service has teams in each of the local offices in Basildon, Chelmsford, Colchester and Harlow.
