2021 LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDS

1. Edward Rex Super Scholarship • Student must be pursuing a field in music which could be played or performed in church or on an organ

2. Haverford High School Class of 1993 Alumni Scholarship • Good academic record • Rendered service in school activities • Will represent Haverford well in the future

3. Scholarship • Must be accepted and have paid their deposit to attend Villanova University • Must maintain overall GPA 3.0 and must receive passing grades in each subject • Must remain in good standing with the Disciplinary Board • May not be the child of a Villanova University faculty or staff person receiving full tuition benefits • The combination of this award and any other scholarship or tuition remission cannot exceed the value of tuition

4. Louis R. Yeager Memorial Award • To a deserving senior who shows potential and has been an asset to the school, but not necessarily a top student

5. Mary S. Cram Memorial • To a senior who has contributed the most to easing tensions among races, religions, ethnic backgrounds and creeds

6. Frank Blence Jr. Class of 1949 Scholarship Award • A graduating male senior of good moral and social character wishing to pursue higher learning at a certified institution, although preferred, this award is not restricted to a 4 year institution • Graduating senior must have a weighted GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a “B” average during senior year

7. Joseph N. Landsburg Memorial Award • For outstanding technical effort and academics • Outstanding student in the vocational technical school • Also academically successful: someone who applies himself/herself to the best of his/her ability • Students enrolled in the DCTS Medical Careers Program are not eligible for this scholarship

8. Gustav Reuss Memorial Scholarship • Leadership and good citizenship • Will attend a college, university, or community college

9. Rotary Club of Haverford Township • Academic student who challenges himself/herself. A student going to college, but not necessarily the top student in the class. Could be from middle of the class if contribution to community service is extremely significant • Involved in school and sincere contribution to community service (major criteria) • Behavior such as to be a credit to his/her family, school, and church or synagogue • Resident of Haverford Township • If two students meet these qualifications and there is an indication of financial need for one, that student should be chosen • Selected by the Rotary Club Scholarship Committee

10. Cassia Mount Horeb Lodge #273 Hap Arnold Memorial Scholarship • Student who has demonstrated exemplary community service • Selected by the Hap Arnold Scholarship Committee

11. Toggweiler Award • High Scholastic achievement to a senior female

12. 13. Frank Hemphill Class of 1949 Scholarship Award • A graduating female senior of good moral and social character wishing to pursue higher learning at a certified institution, although preferred, this award is not restricted to a 4 year institution • Graduating senior must have a weighted GPA of 2.5 or higher and maintain a “B” average during senior year

14. Haverford High School Class of 2014 Alumni Scholarship • Awarded to a college bound Haverford High School graduating senior • Must have a weighted GPA of 2.5 or higher • The student should be a determined, dedicated, and well-rounded person • The student must be active at HHS as a member of clubs, sports teams, music, activities, etc. • The student should represent HHS in a positive way

15. Jordan Keenan Scholarship Award • Presented to a senior member of the HHS Best Buddies Club who emulates the wonderful qualities that were uniquely Jordan • The student should exemplify the following characteristics: encouraging and compassionate to others, friendly and kind, creative and joyful. A student who perseveres and is hard-working • Selected by the Jordan Keenan Scholarship Committee

16. 18. Haverford High School Student Impact Award • Awarded to a student or students who have advocated for significant and meaningful change to Haverford High School. • The student must demonstrate their significant and meaningful impact on Haverford High School in whatever way they feel is best. 19. The Maurice E. 21. Nagaswami Scholarship for Achievement • A graduating senior who has demonstrated academic excellence. • Proven to be a holistic student through participation in significant extracurricular activities such as music, sports, theater, and academically oriented clubs such as , Hi-Q, etc.

22. Jennifer and Paul Bogosian Scholarship • A well rounded student involved in extracurricular activities and community service. • Weighted GPA of 3.0 or higher

23.
