MEDICAL CENTER SALE

The sale of a 49,333-SF medical office building in west Little Rock weighed in at $7.5 million. 1Arkansas Neuro-Spine Center LLC, led by Dr. Alonzo Williams, sold its namesake project at 9101 Kanis Road. The 2.69-acre development was purchased by Kanis Medical LLC, led by Drs. Christian Michaels and Richard Houk; and Central Properties LLC, led by John Flake.

PAVILION PURCHASE Among the past year's major office deals is the $9.8 million sale of the Pavilion Centre in west Little Rock. Two LLC, led by Keith Ingram, bought the 54,000- SF project at 8315 Cantrell Road. The 3.45-acre development was sold by Pavilion Centre LLC, led by Tad Krug, Tim Farrell and Jim Irwin.

Simmons Bank of Pine Bluff invested $25 million to buy a piece of downtown Little Rock: the 188,460-SF former Acxiom Corp. headquarters at 601 E. Third St. The process of filling the 12-story building with staffers from around Little Rock, plus remodeling and crowning with the Simmons name, is ongoing. Acxiom has relocated its headquarters back to Conway. The biggest contingent of Simmons staffers relocating to the new property have been 10 blocks away, where time is winding down on leased quarters. About 165 employees have worked in the Simmons Tower at 425 W. Capitol Ave. About 100 Simmons employees have already relocated, with 350 expected in a year. The future of the company’s naming rights on the 40-story Simmons building remains a loose end. Simmons is vacating floors 12-14 and a small part of the 11th along with some ground floor space not associated with its bank branch, which will remain.
