Article 238.2.1 Competition against the clock. Competitors with equality of penalties for any place are placed in accordance with the time taken to complete the round. In the event of equality penalties AND time for first place, a jump-off against the clock may take place.

Article 274.5.6 This competition comprises two phases run without interruption, the finishing line for the first phase being identical with the starting line for the second phase. Placings are determined based on the aggregate penalties in both phases (faults on obstacles and penalties for exceeding the time allowed in both phases) and, if necessary, according to the time of the 2nd phase.

Riders need to complete both classes to be eligible for discipline champion.
