My Dear Brethren,

All of you are well aware of the passion the brethren of Southern India exhibited last year to hold the Grand Fesval in the Southern Region. They felt that it was their due privilege to host the Grand Fesval by Rotaon. This year the Grand Board unanimously decided to hold the Grand Fesval in the Southern Region and the Regional Grand Master was spontaneous in pung the name of Trichy as the host city. Again, the Grand Board unanimously and very happily agreed to his request. The legacy and past glorious record of the working of the Brethren of Trichy in hosng the Regional Meet came in handy to take this decision spontaneously. We at the Grand Lodge level are very confident that the Brethren of Trichy will organise a memorable Grand Fesval, which will be long remembered by all who aend the same.

Brethren, Trichy as we all are aware is a major city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and the administrave headquarters of Tiruchirappalli District. Trichy sits almost at the geographic centre of the state of Tamil Nadu. Tiruchirappalli City is now home to a million people. Tiruchirappalli's recorded history begins in the 3 century BC, when it was under the rule of the Cholas. The city has also been ruled by the Mutharaiyars, Pandyas, Pallavas, Vijayanagar Empire, Nayak Dynasty, the Carnac state and the Brish, thus typifying the geographical and commercial importance of the city. Once in Trichy, you all must visit the most prominent historical monuments which include the Rockfort, the Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangam and the Jambukeswarar temple at Thiruvanaikaval. For the ardent and religious travellers, Rameshwaram and Madurai are also within travelling distance. I advice you to take full advantage of your visit to Trichy to explore the full magnificence of the Art, Cra and Architecture of the state of Tamil Nadu and of the Southern India.

2 Brethren, by the me we meet at Trichy, the current dispensaon will have completed One year of hecc acvies at the helm of affairs of the Grand Lodge. This team never hesitated to take some strong and tough decisions, many a mes at the cost of pung our personal presge at stake. We decided to lead by example and put in some of the most effecve and long lasng Administrave and Financial discipline and control in the Grand Lodge. The Watch Word at the Grand Lodge was Glasnost and Perestroika (Openness and Restructuring). There is now a complete transparency in all that we do, and the Grand Board is fully seized of all our acons. We have given absolute freedom to our esteemed members of the Board to express themselves without the concept of any fear or favour, and have encouraged acve discussions on every maer affecng the working of the Order. I must place on record the tremendous work put in by the Grand Lodge Staff, under the most watchful and keen eye of our most efficient Grand Secretary. As promised nothing is kept pending at the Grand Lodge level and acve advice is sought from the President Boards, Registrars and Past Grand Masters and many course of acons have been suitably modified. Special menon must also be made of the Grand Treasurer, who has worked relessly in clearing many old pending maers, bringing all Financial maers up to date and subming bi-monthly accounts to all Board members. Thank you, Vishal, Anup Kumar and Sanjiv Bhai for all your support. We expect that in the next stage the Four Regions will follow suit and finally it will be the turn of the Individual Lodges to put in strict administrave and financial controls. I must congratulate the Southern Region for having put in so many administrave controls in the Region and displaying the will to change with mes for the beerment of all. All other Regions must follow suit. I will address you all at length at the Grand Fesval and will present our report for the year as well as the challenges that we face for the future.

The organising team of the Grand Fesval is working day and night under the able stewardship of the Regional Grand Master, the Organising Commiee Chairman VW Bro. S. Valliyappan and RW Bro. C. Sitaram - Organising Secretary and the band of dedicated working team. They are leaving no stone unturned to make this another memorable event in the South and I am sure that each one of you aending the Grand Fesval will go back happier.

I exhort all of you to aend the Grand Fesval in large numbers and go back richer in experience, knowledge and friendship. Best Wishes.

Fraternal Greengs to all our loving Brethren in India. It gives me immense pleasure to welcome all of you to the Grand Fesval 2019 of the Grand Lodge of India to be held in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, on 30th November and 1st December 2019. The Grand Fesval is coming to the Southern Region aer a long gap of seven years, and therefore our Brethren are more than anxious to make up for lost me and give you the best. While Trichy has played host for the Half Yearly Meets of the Southern Region in 1994 and 2006, this is the first me that the Grand Fesval is being held in Trichy. We have a very enthusiasc bunch of Brethren drawn from the Lodges in and around Trichy forming the Organising Commiee headed by its ever-smiling Chairman, V W Bro S Valliyappan, who are keen to make this Grand Fesval a conference to remember for all me to come.

As you may be aware, Trichy is an ancient city dang back to the third century and steeped in history, a fine blend of tradion and modernity built around the Rock Fort and situated on the banks of the river Cauvery. Come to Trichy with your families and explore for yourself. I need not here dilate on the importance of the annual meet of our Grand Lodge. While on the one hand it signifies the yearly change of guard, more importantly it gives us a plaorm, an opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones. I exhort you my Brethren to aend in large numbers and make your Grand Fesval a grand success. The Brethren of Trichy are leaving no stone unturned to make it the grandest fesval ever, and I am sure you will not disappoint them.

The Accommodaon Commiee has negoated discounted rates under a Connental Plan (with breakfast) with the hotels listed herein. Ne rates (Including GST) have been indicated for double occupancy. All other expenses incurred at the hotels during the period of stay including the applicable GST payable thereon should be paid directly to the hotel at the me of checkout.

Brethren who have already registered without requesng accommodaon may make a separate request for accommodaon only on the printed / downloaded registraon forms specifying their registraon details and sending the requisite payment. Note that requests for accommodaon will be entertained only in respect of brethren registering for the Grand Fesval.

Request for accommodaon is to be made specifying the number of days. Three preferred hotels are to be specified along with choices of rooms in the request. Please note however that based on the availability of rooms accommodaon at a hotel not preferred may be provided.

Please note that the Grand Fesval 2019 dates fall on Shubh Muhurat days (considered auspicious for weddings). It is expected that there would be high demand for rooms on these dates. Hence it is requested that the brethren finalize their accommodaon arrangements at the earliest.

LOCAL CONVEYANCE

Pick-up will be arranged from Tiruchirapalli Railway Juncon [TPJ] and from Tiruchirapalli Internaonal Airport [TRZ] on 29th and 30th of November. Brethren are requested to specify the date and train / flight details in the registraon form to facilitate beer planning.

Return pickup from the hotels and drop at Tiruchirapalli Railway Juncon / Tiruchirapalli Internaonal Airport will be available on 1st & ll 07.00 am on 2nd of December. The brethren are requested to confirm their return pick-up at the designated counter during registraon on Saturday and collect the appropriate travel card. Return pick-up without travel card may not be possible. Normal travel me to Railway Juncon is 15 minutes and 25 minutes to the Airport. To and fro conveyance between the listed hotels and the meeng venue will be available on both days of the Grand Fesval as per details which will be displayed at the lobby of each hotel. LADIES TOUR

Two different but concurrent tours planned for Saturday, the 30th November are available for the ladies to choose from Temple Tour will commence at 10:00 a.m. from Hotel Sangam and cover the famous Sri Ranganatha Swamy temple, Srirangam and Samayapuram Mariamman temple in the pre-lunch session.
