A Lake Poetry

4 Days – 3 Nights (private) Day 1 Sightseeing Tour in and You will be picked up from the airport of Puerto Montt and start with a sightseeing tour, which will give you a first impression of the region, visiting the interesting fish- and handcraft market Angelmó. Continuing, you will do another sightseeing tour in Puerto Varas with a stop at the Museum Pablo Fierro (if possible). Here one often meets the artist himself, whose stories will take you on a thrilling journey into his world. The little village is scenically located at the riverside of the gigantic Llanquihue Lake. With snow-covered volcanoes in the background it truly promises a beautiful view. Day 2 Saltos de Petrohue, & Volcano Osomo The second day begins with a full day trip through the lake region just after breakfast. The region spreading between Temuco and Puerto Montt, which includes the regions Araucania and Los Lagos, consists of numerous volcanoes, huge lakes and wide spreading forests, which are declared as natural reserves. This region is also known to be the first point of settlement of German immigrants. Day 3 Chiloé This morning starts early and you drive to the south, to Pargua, from where you will take a ferry to the Island Chiloé. The first stop will be Caulin Bay, Afterwards, you will continue to Ancud, the northernmost city and the former capital of the island. At this place, with its colourful clapboard-houses and fishing boats, the fishing harbour and the market, you will get a short insight into the everyday life of the islanders. From Ancud you will drive further alongside the northern coast of Chiloé and Puñihuil. Puñihuil is one of the few penguin colonies, at which Magellan- and Humboldt-Penguins live together. In the evening you return to Puerto Varas Day 4 Llanquihue Lake During today’s tour, you will circuit the Llanquihue Lake. Starting from Puerto Varas the drive will continue alongside the southern riverside of the Llanquihue Lake to the little village Ensenada, You continue the circuit around the lake, in between you will be able to take a walk and finally arrive at the village , From there on you will continue on the western side of the Llanquihue Lake towards . In this part of the route you will get to see beautiful wooden houses from the time of the German immigrants. Afterwards you will say goodbye being back at the airport of Puerto Montt.
