Day 1 Kakadu National Park

Depart Darwin early this morning for Kakadu National Park. Along the way you’ll join a morning cruise on Corroboree Billabong, giving the opportunity for you to see a huge variety of birdlife as well as salt water crocodiles in their natural environment. Travel via the old Jim Jim Road to Kakadu with a visit to White Lily Billabong before arriving at Barramundi Creek for a walk to the base of Barramundi Falls. Depart late afternoon for Nawurlandja Lookout, for wonderful sunset views across Nourlangie Rock and the Arnhem Land escarpment.

Day 2 Arnhem Land & The Cobourg Peninsula

Today travel to the northern reaches of Kakadu, crossing the East Alligator River into Arnhem Land. The drive into the Gunbalanya Aboriginal community reveals some of the finest views in the Top End, with floodplains covered in birdlife and waterlilies. Meet local artists and watch them in action at the Injalak Arts and Crafts Centre and experience some of the best Aboriginal rock art in before continuing on to the Cobourg Peninsula.

Day 3 The Cobourg Peninsula

Awaken to the chorus of birds and enjoy a camp breakfast before spending the morning exploring the ’s largest marine park by boat. The Cobourg is home to an abundance of wildlife including six species of turtle, dolphins, sharks, crocodiles, stingrays and mud crabs. Visit the Settlement ruins before returning to camp for an afternoon exploring the nearby beaches, fishing or relaxing in a hammock.

Day 4 The Cobourg Peninsula

Explore the eastern side of the park today by 4WD. Cobourg is home to the first RAMSAR wetland (wetland of international importance) in the world with freshwater paperbarks swamps and billabongs just 100 metres from the coastline. Try your hand at hunting mud crabs using traditional methods.

Day 5 Arnhem Land & Kakadu to Darwin

Depart Cobourg early this morning, travelling back to Darwin via Arnhem Land and Kakadu, where lunch will be served on the banks of the East Alligator River. After a visit to Ubirr Rock continue on to Darwin via the Mamukala wetlands, arriving back around 7pm, when your tour comes to an end.
