RIGHT INNOVATIONS. RIGHT PARTNERSHIPS. RIGHT IMPACT. I MPACT STORI ES

“When I first joined the school last year, I would find it hard to participate in class. My attendance was inconsistent. I was very shy and usually wouldn’t speak outside my home. But when teachers at school noticed my interest in drawing, they held up my artwork as an example for the whole class. This built up my confidence and I’m slowly coming out of my shell. Also, the meals provided in school helps me concentrate better in class. Now I look forward to attending school every day. I want to do well in my studies, become a doctor and make my parents proud.” - Roshni, 11

“I used to live on streets with my family. After my father deserted the family, my mother has been rag picking on the street for survival. I was 6 years old at the time of admission. Since then, I have been quite interested in studies and love to go to school every day. I enjoy computer class the most. Also, participating in activities such as Quiz competition and story reading brings me joy.” – Saurabh, 14

“I feel happy to be at school. I receive books, pencils and crayons here which my parents cannot afford to buy. That's why I love going to school regularly. I also enjoy participating in remedial classes, art & craft activities, computer classes and games.” - Sayna, 10

“My family doesn’t have money to provide for education and sometimes even meals. I’m very happy to be enrolled at a school like many others. This school program helps me learn as I can’t study at home because of other responsibilities. I feel good here and enjoy playing with my friends in class. I dream of becoming a dancer teacher. I want to teach dancing in my neighbourhood when I grow up.” – Om, 11
