Here at Stanwell, the autumn term has been busy and event- ful, culminating in our spectacular production of ‘Aida’ which had a rapturous reception from sell-out audiences over four consecutive nights. I am also delighted to inform you that work has begun on our new all-weather pitch which will further improve the quality of sporting facilities at Stanwell on completion. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff, pupils, governors, parents and friends of the school who have contrib- uted to our success this year. This event is one of the social highlights of the school year so gather your teams together and register! The maximum number of members per team is 6 and entry costs £7 per head to include a buffet supper. Wine, beer and cider can be purchased on the night to accompany your meal. Please telephone main reception to reserve your team’s space we look forward to seeing you there! Parents and pupils are reminded that Monday 5th January is an INSET day. He is interested in theoretical and empirical work on social change and processes of social change. He is currently engaged in a series of research projects that addresses processes of social change and their impact on individuals, institutions, communities and civil society. He is also undertaking research specifically addressing ageing, later life and the experience of dementia. This includes work looking at class and health inequalities in later life, generational relations, social engagement and participation and changes in consumption patterns as people age.
