(Allion) keeps pace with all the latest technology with specialized teams composed of experts in hardware and analysis. These experts composed this test proposal, which focuses on Bluetooth Compatibility testing of Holtek BT Beacon. This proposal outlines the overall methodology suggested by our expert staff, including detailed descriptions of both the test plan and test environment.

The ideal scenario for the beacon should be, that it activates exactly at the set range and deactivate when the user is out of the range, but the 2.4 GHz frequency can be affected by the physical surroundings. This is important to be aware of because when the Bluetooth signal is attenuated, or lessened, this affects the signal strength received by a .

2. Measurement Data Analysis

A BLE beacon is simply a device that uses BLE node advertisements to broadcast its services to BLE clients that can read the information offered. In BLE beacon applications, the BLE node operates in only an

advertising mode using GAP to send information in the advertisement packets. BLE beacons do not accept connection requests from clients, it is a simple one-to-many broadcast that enables BLE beacons to consume very little power.

The “Interval” setting determines how often the beacon will transmit its advertising packet. Higher interval settings actually cause major issues with signal stability. However, we have also determined that using the

100ms interval setting recommended for iBeacon, is actually overkill for this issue.

The following analysis shows the interval for DUT on all mobile phones.
