The Society has both still and running water venues around the East Grinstead area. Here is brief description of where you can fish and what you can expect to catch.

Ardingly Reservoir – A huge water in West . The Society has concessionary pricing at this water. No guest tickets. To get the concession you need to phone the bailiff on 01444 892549

Eden Brook (2.5 mile tributary of the River Eden in Surrey). A narrow river holding chub to 4lbs+, roach, perch 2lbs+, bream, pike, dace, eels and recently the occasional carp to 15lbs.

Ford Manor (1.5 acres in Surrey) - This small estate lake holds a good stock of rudd, roach, carp to low double figures, crucian carp and tench..

Hedgecourt (43 acres including a feeder stream in Surrey) - A large lake and associated feeder stream. Lake is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Contains a large stock of good sized bream, pike, perch, roach and tench. The feeder stream is noted for good sized pike and roach particularly during winter months. The Society record pike of 25lbs 13ozs was caught in the feeder stream. In the last couple of seasons carp have also been caught in small numbers in the lake.

Kidbrooke (3 acres in East Sussex) Contains roach, carp, tench, rudd and perch. This water normally holds a large stock of small chub (up to 1lb 8oz) that provide good sport. There is restricted access in school term time. Tench to 2.5 lbs caught since June 2011.

Readers Lake (3 acres in ) - Stocked with carp to low double figures, crucian carp, tench, bream, roach and perch. A number of young barbel were introduced in 2009 and in June 2011 these were being caught at about 1.5 lbs. This lake is owned and maintained to a high standard by the Society

Rowfant House (1.5 acres in West Sussex) – This well maintained estate lake is in the grounds of a country club. The main stock is silver fish but there are also some carp, a few of which run to double figures. There are no guest tickets available so non-members fishing with a member will have to pay the full day ticket price.

Saint Hill (2 acres in West Sussex). An estate lake only lightly fished in the last few years. The lake is in the grounds of the Church of Scientology and there is restricted access at certain times. No guest tickets

Weirwood Reservoir – Another large reservoir usually fished by members for its bream and carp. Contact on-site shop on 01342 820650 for more details

Woodpeckers, Worth – The Society has an agreement allowing members to fish the lakes Monday to Saturday 0700-1900hrs. Visit the Woodpeckers website for latest information. You need to telephone in advance before fishing.

Imberhorne Pond (1 acre in West Sussex). Currently closed for maintenance. Stocked with carp to about 7lbs, crucian carp, perch and roach.

Please Note

EA rules apply at Eden Brook and Hedgecourt Lake and feeder stream, which are closed from 15 March to 15 June inclusive. The Society operates a closed season on its other lakes from 15 March to 31 May inclusive except Rowfant House, Weirwood and Woodpeckers which are open all year.
