Schafer has a .614 career winning percentage following the 2016-17 season, which saw the Big Red return to the NCAA champi- onships with an at-large bid after Cornell advanced to the ECAC Hockey championship game. Additionally, his 412 career victories rank in the Top 10 among active Division I coaches. Most recently, the Big Red has advanced to at least the ECAC Hockey Champi- onship semifinals a league-best nine times over the last 13 seasons.
