After the events that occurred at the City Hall, parasites from the world over began melding with human society, until incidents involving them became almost non-existent. Migi Parasyte: v. 4 to Shinichi in a dream, and informs him that he'll be going to sleep for the indefinite future. One year later, while Shinichi and Murano are spending time together, the latter is taken hostage by Uragami. Making his way Parasyte: v. 4 the top of a building, Uragami begins questioning Shinichi on his humanity and of the worlds oblivion to who they truly are. Because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from traveling further up into his brain, both beings retain their separate intellect and personality.
