Wow! 108 entries. Equal to last year’s record entry to this event. Though rather cold we were blessed with some nice sunshine throughout. North, north easterly breeze did not appear to be too much of a problem going by the amount of rides inside of 23 minutes. That has to be one of the best results that this event has had. Well done Andy on a cracking ride. Congratulations to all prize winners. I hope you all enjoyed the Easter Eggs. And my sincere thanks to all those that entered this annual event. As announced at the event, £1001 was handed over to Chris Parkes the Volunteer Ambassador for Cancer Research UK. When all of my sums are done there will be a little more that will be passed on. Thank you to Timekeepers’ Steve Walker (Lincoln Whs) ably assisted by Linda and Julie and Sharon Fensom (Spalding CC) At signing on Ann, Ben and Julie. Officials at the Start, Malc, Stuart and Terry and marshals, Dennis, Ian, Robin, Brian and Nige. The latter two also bringing back all of the signs. Back at HQ, Kathy again provided a wonderful spread so thanks are due and also to her band of helpers, Kate, Teresa, Jackie and Daisy. Howard as usual doing a super job at the result board. Thanks too to Jean Crane our President who kindly donated the Easter Eggs for the prize awards and took charge of the Raffle. Also to Chris for again sorting out a decent result board instead of my usual written (scribbled ) effort. Hopefully I have not left anyone out. If so, my apologies and consider yourself included. Sleaford Wheelers next Open TT will be the Nev Crane Memorial ‘25’ Sunday 20th July arguably be richest TT in Lincs DC. Course C25/35 Entry Fee £8 over £800 in Prizes £100 Fastest rider then £50, £40, £30 with awards going down to 10th place. £50 to Winner if Course and Event Record (currently 50:04 held by Matt Bottrill) is beaten. £50 to Fastest Lady if Ladies course record (currently 54:17 held by Wendy Houvenaghel) is beaten.
