20062006——20072007 DIRECTORYDIRECTORY 73RD ANNUAL CONFERENCE Issues and Challenges in Regional and Specialty Accreditation In Higher Education PURPOSE In 1921, the founding purpose of MAC was to provide opportunities for all sectors and levels of higher education to meet together, to share concerns, and to discuss common goals and issues. The purpose of the MAC Association shall be to promote goodwill among colleges and universities; to stimulate academic and professional coop- eration among the membership; to consider common problems; to perform an accrediting function for higher education in the state of Mississippi; and to pursue those matters of common interest to the membership. Listed individuals receive a direct invitation to the annual conference sponsored by MAC. The president of each institution represented submitted names.
