George S. Patton to drive home a message. "It wasn't the main speech at the start of the movie," said Bills defensive end Ryan Denney. "It was a scene after one of the first battles at some pass, and the Americans had failed, and the troops were wiped out. That's when Patton came in and started instilling discipline, and they started focusing on all the details." The message: The Bills would have to take care of every little assignment against the Chargers. The result: Darren Sproles averaged just 17 yards on four returns, and the Bills controlled the field position. Movie clips are just one of the creative ways April motivates his players, and the Bills' special teams have been an inspired bunch again this season. Solid special teams have helped the Bills to a 5-1 start. The Bills hope special teams can set a winning tone again today when they face the Miami Dolphins. Miami has struggled in kickoff coverage and punt coverage, ranking tied for 31st and 30th, respectively, in those categories. The Bills would love to repeat last year's special teams success in Miami, when a 40-yard punt return by Roscoe Parrish set up Buffalo's winning score. Uncommon esprit de corps has been a hallmark of April's tenure as Bills special teams chief the past five years. -
Affective Temporalities in Gob Squad’S Kitchen (You’Ve Never Had It So Good)
56 ANA PAIS AFFECTIVE TEMPORALITIES IN GOB SQUAD’S KITCHEN (YOU’VE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD) In this article I will be drawing upon affect theory to unpack issues of authenticity, mediation, participation in the production Gob Squads’s Kitchen, by Gob Squad. English/German collective reconstructed Andy Warhol’s early film Kitchen, shot 47 years before, in the flamboyant Factory, starring ephemeral celebrities such as Eve Sedgwick. Alongside Eat (1964), Sleep (1963) and Screen Test (1964-66). Although it premièred in Berlin, in 2007, the show has been touring in several countries and, in 2012, it received the New York Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience.I will be examining how the production’s spatial dispositive creates a mediated intimacy that generates affective temporalities and how their performativity allows us to think of the audience as actively engaged in an affective resonance with the stage. Intimacy creates worlds (Berlant 2000). It brings audience and performer closer not only to each other but also to the shifting moment of Performance Art’s capture by institutional discourses and market value. Unleashing affective temporalities allows the audience to embody its potency, to be, again, “at the beginning”.Drawing upon André Lepecki’s notion of reenactments as activations of creative possibilities, I will be suggesting that Gob Squads’s Kitchen merges past and present by disclosing accumulated affects, promises and deceptions attached to the thrilling period of the sixties in order to reperform a possibility of a new beginning at the heart of a nowthen time. In conclusion, this article will shed new light on the performative possibilities of affect to surmount theatrical separation and weave intensive attachments. -

Campus Master Plan Summary 2019 The University of North Alabama experience begins with our campus community and the educational setting we create for our students. As a growing and dynamic institution, we continue to seek ways to attract students who seek a quality educa- tion through active, engaged learning inside and outside the classroom. Research, metrics, and 3D puzzle play from our students, faculty, staff, Board of Trustees, and alumni were used to create this updated Campus Master Plan. With UNA’s mission and values in mind, the updated plan creates new possibilities for personal growth and inspiration for our students by addressing the value of place in experiential education. Campus facilities need to allow for growth of the curriculum through academic initiatives and an opportunity to increase our retention to better serve our students’ academic and residential needs. The Board of Trustees approved this updated Campus Master Plan at its summer meeting in June 2019. The Plan outlines UNA’s bold commitment to student suc- cess by delivering an approach to campus development that is reflective of our beautiful location, the nature of experiential learning, and the need to invest in our infrastructure to deliver our brand promise. The campus community will work to ensure that the University of North Alabama stays relevant for all of those students who need, deserve, and benefit from the highly personalized education offered here. I am confident that this 2019 Campus Master Plan will set the scene for our future growth and development and that it will help to clearly define a path to success for our current and future students. -

Vivian Malone Jones, la primera mujer de raza negra que se matriculó en la Universidad de Alabama en 1963, en plena lucha por los derechos civiles y que consiguió graduarse dos años más tarde, pese a los múltiples episodios racistas a los que tuvo que enfrentarse, falleció el pasado jueves en Atlanta a los 63 años, víctima de un infarto. Su nombre saltó a los periódicos el 12 de junio de 1963 cuando ella y James Hood, otro estudiante de raza negra, llegaron a la puerta de aquella universidad escoltados por la Guardia Nacional y se encontraron frente al gobernador de Alabama, George C. Wallace, quien en su discurso inaugural había hecho del segregacionismo su caballo de batalla. "Segregación ahora, mañana y para siempre", había proclamado Wallace. Durante su campaña había prometido bloquear físicamente la entrada de estudiantes negros en las escuelas y universidades públicas para blancos, que, tras una sentencia del Supremo, se veían obligadas desde 1956 a aceptar a estudiantes de todas las razas. Sin embargo, lo que en aquel momento pareció una confrontación real, resultó ser, según se supo años más tarde, una escena orquestada entre el presidente John Fitzgerald Kennedy y la oficina del gobernador para evitar que la llegada de los estudiantes provocara derramamientos de sangre. Wallace prometió dejar clara su opinión, ser breve y se comprometió a dejarles entrar una vez que llegara la Guardia Nacional. Y así fue. -

No less than the world's top experts in health, human movement, and pedagogy are gathered here today to discuss important physical education and sports science-related topics over the next three days. While UP's commitment to academic excellence has always been the cornerstone of our success, this has at times been incorrectly conflated with a pursuit of purely intellectual brilliance. This misconception, no doubt fed by the false dichotomy of mind and body, has led to the misconstrued notion attributing UP's contributions to society to purely mental feats. This is of course far from the truth, and does not bespeak of the kind of liberal education that UP has historically espoused. We are lucky and grateful that the UP College of Human Kinetics (UP CHK) has been fully committed to bucking the stereotype and has been showing how well-rounded the Filipino youth can be. Since assuming its name in 1989, the UP CHK has been the base of operations and primary nurturer of UP's student athletes and athletic organizations. -
