It was hugely successful with more than 72,000 sold; with the market saturated, second-year sales dropped to just under 42,000. Of those 1970 Mach 1s, only 2,501 were powered by the Shaker-scooped 428 Cobra Jet big-block. This blue example is verified as a factory Ram Air by the R-code VIN, as shown on the window sticker and Marti Report. Originally delivered to Bill Rutlard Ford in Memphis, Tennessee, in June of 1970, the Mach 1 spent much of its life in Texas and retains its original sheet metal. A rotisserie restoration was completed in 2017 to factory specifications, including a correctly date-coded 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air engine, red oxide undercarriage with factory-correct overspray, paint daubs, date-coded emissions system and use of NOS parts when available. For 1970, Ford mildly restyled the Mustang and updated the Mach 1 SportsRoof with grille- mounted fog lamps, hood scoop and stripes, twist-style external hood locks, aluminum rocker panels and oval dual exhaust tips. Factory equipment also included the Competition Suspension and a unique deluxe interior with woodgrain and console. According to the Marti Report, this Mach 1 is a one-of-one with its combination of 335 HP 428 Cobra Jet with Shaker, Medium Bright Blue Metallic paint, white interior and optional equipment, which includes a C6 automatic transmission, 3.00:1 Traction-Lok differential, air-conditioning, power steering, power brakes with front discs, in-dash tachometer with trip odometer, fold- down rear seat and tinted glass. The Mach 1 is also equipped with the popular rear-window slats, rear-deck spoiler and Magnum 500 wheels with Goodyear Polyglas tires. It is one of 1,130 with the R-code engine and automatic. The rare Mach 1 comes with its window sticker, framed Elite Marti Report and owner’s manual. 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 "R" Code CJ 428 CCG - 480-525-2834 - View this car on our website at ccgcars.com/6824416/ebrochure Our Location : 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 "R" Code CJ 428 CCG - 480-525-2834 - View this car on our website at ccgcars.com/6824416/ebrochure Installed Options CCG ccgcars.com 480-525-2834 639 W 2nd Ave Mesa, AZ 85210 © 2021 AutoRevo - All rights reserved. - Powered by AutoRevo.

  • 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 to Be Raffled Off to Benefit Jdrf
PRESS RELEASE PRESS RELEASE Media Contact: Nick Harkin [email protected] 773-969-5033 1971 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 TO BE RAFFLED OFF TO BENEFIT JDRF One of Most Iconic Cars of the 1970s, Muscle Car Lovingly Restored to Its Original Condition CHICAGO — Angela Babala and “Angel’s Garage” will raffle off a custom 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 race car at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show to benefit JDRF, the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. This one-of-a-kind vehicle is a blue and silver Ford Mustang Mach 1. The car is an all-original, C6 Automatic with a 351C, 460 horsepower engine with internal upgrades. This particular vehicle is unique since it features a rear defrost (a rare feature on the Mach 1), as well as a blue metallic vinyl interior. The car has been driven by comedian and actor Tommy Chong and Hip Hop Duo Audio Push, both of whom have autographed the car. The car will be on display at the Ford booth at the Chicago Auto Show. The Mach 1 is one of the most powerful and iconic cars of the early 1970s, having been featured prominently in dozens of movies, including, memorably, the 1971 James Bond film “Diamonds are Forever” starring Sean Connery (with Bond driving the car during a 3.5-minute chase sequence through the Las Vegas strip, ending with his narrowly eluding police by driving the car on two wheels). The vehicle was found in Marlette, Michigan, covered by snow in a barn. It was rusted and much neglected.

18/01/2021 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 Allan Tøing is a prey normal, unassuming guy. The 45-year-old, from Aalborg, in FORD MUSTANG Denmark has a well respectable and WHO? professional job as a pilot on a private business jet, and has never been one for MACH 1 hanging around in car parks, ogling modified Astras and the like. In fact, up unl a few years ago he'd only ever owned what he describes as “normal cars”-Mazdas, Opels, you know the sort. But he'd always had a hankering for something from our transatlanc cousins. Something big, loud, and strong. A muscle car, basically. More specifically, a 1st gen Mustang. But every me he'd gone out to try and find one in Denmark, he'd been disappointed, and they just hadn't been quite right. Aer some targeted bullying by mate Steen, Allan was pointed towards blocket.se, which led to him finding this car the very same day. Only problem was, it was in Sweden. But it was a '69, AND a big block, so he couldn't let the opportunity to at least go and look pass him by. In Allan's own words- I hadn't planned to go all in, and geng a big block - but all of a sudden, I found her, and I was prey sure that I'd buy her just from seeing the photos. I made arrangements with the owner to drop by some days later, and aer a test drive and kicking the res we made a deal, and I picked her up some days later” Wrien by: Si McNally I Photography by: Mike Crawat 18/01/2021 FORD MUSTANG MACH 1 So what's so special about Allan's 'Stang? Well, for a start it's a '69, which is the very first year for the iconic, and very muscular indeed, Mach 1.
