The JHU 2019 Fall Career Fair **New Parking Location-Please Read** Thursday, September 26, 2019 10:00 am – 3:00 pm Ralph S. O’Connor Recreation Center

Thank you for registering for the 2019 Johns Hopkins Career Fair! Please review the following information to help you plan your experience with us on the Homewood Campus. The Career Fair is going to run from 10:00 am-3:00 pm. We will start with a student early access time frame from 10:00 am until 11:00 am for those selected participants. The fair opens for all participants at 11:00 am.

Set-up begins at 8:00 am. Clean-up begins at 3:00 pm and all participants must vacate the Rec Center by 4:00 pm.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING IN YOUR REGISTRATION ON HANDSHAKE: 1. The number of attendees for your registration (2 attendees are included) and their names 2. International student hiring status 3. Select the Major or Major Groups you are hiring to connect with your desired student pool

Set-Up All career fair tables are 6 feet in length by 3 feet in width. Please plan accordingly. Additionally, the temperature in the Rec Center can vary depending on the season, please dress in layers. Please limit the number of pull up/free standing banners to one.

Shipping Materials before the Career Fair We urge you to ship your career fair materials to us in advance of the fair in order to avoid transporting them from the parking lot to the fair site. A shuttle ride will be required to arrive at the event (see “Parking” below). If you do not ship your packages ahead of time, your packages will have to be put in the loading area under the bus in order to carry them to the fair. For this reason, if you choose not to ship your packages ahead of time, please make sure your packages are securely contained, clearly labeled, and carefully sealed when you arrive for the fair.

We will begin accepting packages for this event on Monday, September 16, 2019. Materials must be received no later than 5:00 pm on Monday September 23, 2019.

● Please do not ship to the Rec Center. We cannot guarantee delivery of items that are not shipped to the Career Center. ● Please CLEARLY LABEL all boxes with your organizations name, the total number of boxes and Attention Career Fair.

Shipping Materials after the Career Fair Participants are responsible for ensuring shipping and/or pick-up of their materials after the Career Fair. The Career Center will collect packages at the end of the fair and will arrange UPS and FedEx pick-ups the day of, for a pick-up time no later than 7:00 pm the evening of the Career Fair. Please provide addressed shipping labels that include your account information. Please remove all other materials from the Rec Center when you depart. Please note: We DO NOT ship anything FedEx GROUND, we only can ship using FedEx EXPRESS.

Participant Numbers: If you have not already done so, please let us know if your organization will be bringing more than two representatives. You may register extra representatives for a $25 fee per person. We do not need to know the names of the representatives.

Outlets Please note that electrical outlets (for plugging laptops or other equipment at your table) are limited at the fair and must be requested ahead of time. If you are uncertain as to whether you requested an outlet, please contact us.

Refreshments Continental Breakfast and lunch are provided for each organization’s registered attendees and is included in the registration fee. Beverages are available throughout the day as well.

Cancellation Policy If you cancel on or before August 19, 2019 you will be refunded your full registration amount. If you cancel on or after August 19, 2019, we will be unable to offer you a refund.

Parking & Transportation - NEW PARKING LOCATIONS Parking for the JHU 2019 Fall Career Fair is located at: The Ellerslie Lot, 3225 Ellerslie Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21218 (near JHU Eastern Building, 1101 E. 33rd Street), (Entrance to the lot is on E. 33rd Street side) The lot will be monitored by security staff during the course of the day. Please take the necessary steps upon exiting your vehicle to security your belongings. The University shall not be responsible for loss or damage to the vehicle or contents.

Because this lot is not on the Hopkins campus, we recommend mapping directions to this lot in advance of coming to campus. Please look for the balloons and signs at the entrance to the lot on 33rd Street, indicating where you should enter.

To get to the lot, please enter the lot driveway off of E. 33rd Street and proceed straight ahead towards the bus shelter where the Career Center Staff will be standing. Please note that career fair participants should park toward the center of the lot, closest to the bus shelter.

Parking is included in your registration fee, so you will not need to pay for parking.

There will be shuttles taking you from the parking lot to the Rec Center and from the Rec Center back to the lot after the event. The shuttles will run from 7:30 am until 11:00 am and then pick back up from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. Shuttles will not run in between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Please note: If you are taking a taxi to the Career Fair, please go directly to the Recreation Center (located at the top of the University off of University Parkway) and not the Ellerslie Lot.

By Car from the north via I-95 (New Jersey, New York): Take I-95 South to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695 Towson) to exit 25 (Charles St.). Take Charles St. south for about seven miles (when Charles St. splits a block after Cold Spring Lane, stay to the right). Follow Charles Street down until you get to E. 33rd Street near the main campus. Make a left turn on E. 33rd Street and follow down for about 1 mile until you get to Ellerslie Avenue. Crossover Ellerslie Avenue and the entrance to the lot is at the next light on your right. (Look for the balloons and signs for Career Fair parking)

By Car from the north via I-83 (Pennsylvania): Take I-83 South to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695 Towson) to exit 25 (Charles St.). Take Charles St. south for about seven miles (when Charles St. splits a block after Cold Spring Lane, stay to the right). Follow Charles Street down until you get to E. 33rd Street near the Main Campus. Make a left turn on E. 33rd Street and follow down for about 1 mile until you get to Ellerslie Avenue. By Car from the south via I-95 (Washington DC, Richmond): Take I-95 North to exit 53 (I-395 Downtown). Stay in the right lane. As I-395 ends you will see Oriole Park at Camden Yards in front of you on your left. Make a right turn onto Pratt St.; proceed three blocks to N. Charles St. Turn left onto N. Charles St. and stay straight for about 3 miles. Follow Charles Street until you get to E. 33rd Street near the main campus. Make a right turn on E. 33rd Street and follow down for about 1 mile until you get to Ellerslie Avenue. Crossover Ellerslie Avenue and the entrance to the lot is at the next light on your right.
