The qualifier is a 36-hole event in which the players must walk, but caddies can ride in a cart. Qualifiers in 2018 advance to the U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach Golf Links / Pebble Beach Resorts August 13-19, 2018. Spyglass Hill Golf Course will also co-host the championship during medal play. The last time Big Creek hosted this qualifier was August 2010, and the two qualifiers were Alex L. Carpenter and newly-minted (just this past week) PGA TOUR member Austin Cook of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Pictured is Austin holding up his PGA Tour card last week and then (in red hat) here at Big Creek on August 9, 2010. 2017 6A GIRLS GOLF EAST CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS MOUNTAIN HOME LADY BOMBERS KENNEDY WYATT SYDNEY CZANSTKOWSKI KORI SCHAUFLER KENZIE COLLINS HALEY CZESCHIN Congratulations to the Mountain Home High School Lady Bombers girls golf team for winning the 6A East Conference Championship here at Big Creek on day 1 of the state championship. The girls from Greenwood High School in Arkansas won the 6A West conference and led the overall race for state. 2017 6A GIRLS GOLF STATE CHAMPIONSHIP Congratulations to the Greenwood High School girls team for winning the 2017 6A Girls Golf State Championship. Their two-day total of 527 beat state runner up Siloam Springs High School who finished at 548. Mountain Home High School girls finished in 3rd place with a total of 575. Greenwood's Sydnie Gamble was medalist with a score or 73-72--145. The senior will be playing college golf at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith next year. Siloam Springs' Brinkley Beever was runner up with a score of 81-76--157. Mountain Home's Kenzie Collins finished third at 82-88--170. Those three advance to the Arkansas Activities Association state overall championship on October 12. Kenzie and Sydney Czanstkowski of MHHS both qualified for all-state honors. Final team results: 1.
