Safe Community Partnership partners with Wal-Mart to conduct child seat checkup in LaPlace

The South Central Safe Community Partnership (SCSCP), in cooperation with Wal-Mart and Passenger Safety Task Force (LPSTF) will conduct a Child Safety Seat (CPS) checkup event on Saturday, June 18, 2011, from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M at the Wal-Mart located in LaPlace, LA. Read more. ______

LHSC Deputy Director, DOTD Secretary to grace South Central’s Traffic Safety Summit

South Central, Louisiana– Louisiana Highway Safety Commission’s (LHSC) Deputy Director Ken Trull and LA Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) Secretary Sherri LeBas will grace the Traffic Safety Summit on July 13, 2011 at the Cotillion Ballroom of Nicholls State University Student Union Building in Thibodaux.

Deputy Director Trull and Secretary LeBas will deliver their welcome and closing remarks, respectively.

Organizing the summit for the past 11 years now is the Transportation Division of South Central Planning and Development Commission (SCPDC), which administers the South Central Safe Community Partnership (SCSCP). SCSCP is a coalition of law enforcement, government, business and non-government agencies from the Parishes of Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John and Terrebonne.
