Dear friends: A warm welcome to the Cascadia Art Museum’s third annual summer Gala. We are pleased and thankful that you chose to help us celebrate our third anniversary. Tonight, we gather together to celebrate and support the special role that the Cascadia Art Museum plays here in our region and in the greater Edmonds community. It is an institution dedicated to preserving the legacy of Northwest Art and it provides one with valuable insights into the arts history of this area. Thanks to your support, the Cascadia Art Museum can build on and create school and community programs that connect with a broad spectrum of the people who live here. Our program offerings include an integrated writing and art curriculum for school children. Also offered are regular monthly tours for memory care patients and their caregivers in conjunction with SnoMentia and the Alzheimer’s Association, a popular monthly Coffee with the Curator, and a classical musical series in the museum. On behalf of the board of trustees, we thank you for your generosity tonight and hope that you will enjoy this special and important evening. Couples share the same number but may request two different numbers. All sales for the evening will be recorded by bidder number. Payment in full is required tonight. Areas where your bid number can be used include Jewelry Raffle, Golden Ticket Raffle, Bar items (wine is complimentary), Dessert Dash, Raise the Paddle, Silent Auction and Live Auction. SILENT AUCTION Items offered in the Silent Auction will have Silent Auction bid forms attached to them. You may bid by simply adding your bid number to the minimum bid, or if that has already been taken, by adding your bid number and higher bid amount on the line below the existing high bid. Please write legibly so that your bid may be properly accounted. You may purchase the item outright by putting you bid number next to the Buy it Now amount. You may bid anytime during the evening up until the Silent Auction closing time. Closing time will be announced by the auctioneer. On closing, all bid forms will be picked up for processing. You may inquire if you have won something at the Registration Table. Please allow 20-30 minutes for the cashiers to process the forms after closing. LIVE AUCTION The live auction will take place concurrent with the dinner service. To bid on a live auction item, hold up your bid card. The highest bidder as acknowledged by the auctioneer will win the item. Once the final bid number has been acknowledged by the auctioneer, the bidder has a legal obligation to purchase the item. At his discretion, the auctioneer reserves the right to settle any disputes or errors. The decision of the auctioneer will be final. Following the conclusion of the live auction, guests who win an auction item should stop at the Check-Out Table to pick up their item or gift certificate. RAISE THE PADDLE The Raise the Paddle portion of the evening will happen during the live auction. At this time the auctioneer will invite guests to bid dollar amounts in support of Cascadia Art Museum. Hold your card high until the auctioneer reads off your bidder number. GOLDEN TICKET RAFFLE Only 100 Golden Tickets will sold at a cost of $100 each. We will hold the drawing at the top of the Live Auction. One lucky guest will then take their pick of ANY Live Auction Item. Don’t pass on the chance to take home an original masterpiece for only $100. Use your bid number to purchase as many Golden Tickets as you like while supply lasts during the Silent Auction. Must be present to win. 6 Bidder’s Guide & AUCTION GUIDELINES CHECK OUT/PICKING UP BID ITEMS If you have vaulted your credit card during Check-In you may leave the event at any time and bypass the Check In/Check Out Tables entirely – no “check out is required except to pick up your bid items.
