The shire is made up of over 100 localities spread over 3,855 square kilometres of rolling green hills, towns, mountains and top agricultural land. Baw Baw Shire has a population of over 38,500 and local community members to provide these people which is expected to grow to almost 48,000 by services. June 2031.
