Batman: Arkham Origins Multiplayer STORY MODE Batman: Arkham Origins is latest entry in the Batman Arkham series, but it is not a story concerning the origins of Batman, as one might suspect. The narrative actually takes place after Bruce Wayne’s return from a long absence. After Batman has spent two years of fighting crime in his role as a vigilante, the Gotham City Police Department treats him as a criminal. He simply wants to clean up the streets of his city and believes he alone must get it done. Thus far, Batman has been a serious threat to the plans for many criminals of Gotham City. So, for one night only, a bounty of $50,000,000 has been placed on Batman’s head. Black Mask’s Kill the Bat Christmas Eve Challenge has brought out eight of the deadliest assassins—each one gunning for the the masked vigilante of Gotham City. The biggest storm of the winter has blighted the city, and many criminals have hit the streets for what they think is an easy take. It is now up to Batman to get to Black Mask, stop the crime spree, and avoid the constant attacks of criminals who are seeking to claim the bounty on his head. This section of the guide focuses only on the main objectives of the Story Mode. New Most Wanted side missions or Casefiles are briefly discussed, but for full details, please refer to their respective chapters. This walkthrough is based on the Normal difficulty of the game. The enemies you face on Hard difficulty, New Game Plus, and I am the Night mode are tougher and may consist of different combinations of foes. LOCATE BLACK MASK AT BLACKGATE PRISON Bruce Wayne enters the Batcave while a news report plays on the monitor. After switching channels, it is revealed that this is the day that one of Gotham City’s most heinous criminals, Julian Gregory Day, is being executed. At that moment, a police report informs you that Black Mask is holding Commissioner Loeb captive at Blackgate Prison. Alfred implores Bruce to remember that it is Christmas Eve and that he should take the night off, but Bruce’s decision is already made. Batman must seek out Black Mask. 28 ©2013 DK/BradyGAMES®, a division of Penguin Group (USA) Inc. All Rights Reserved. TM & © DC Comics. Lieber Title: House of Cards Advisor: Sheila Schroeder Degree Date: November 2013 Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to approach adapting a comic book into a film in a unique way. With so many comic-to-film adaptations following the trends of action movies, my goal was to adapt the popular comic book, Batman, into a screenplay that is not an action film. The screenplay, House of Cards, follows the original character of Miranda Greene as she attempts to understand insanity in Gotham’s most famous criminal, the Joker. The research for this project includes a detailed look at the comic book’s publication history, as well as previous film adaptations of Batman, and Batman in other relevant media.

Tony Daniel sets up the new status quo quickly and cleanly, while leaving a few plot threads hanging for future use.
