State Sen. Yoder Honors Hoosier Mixed Martial Arts Professional

STATEHOUSE (Jan. 11' 2011) - State Sen. Carlin Yoder (R-Middlebury) honored an Indianapolis resident today who is not only good at fighting fires, but also has the competitive fire inside himself to fight some of the most rugged and mixed martial arts (MMA) opponents in the world.

Yoder led the Senate in a special resolution today honoring Indianapolis fireman , also known as championship boxer and cage fighter.

"Chris has had an extremely impressive career," Yoder said. "He has numerous championships under his belt already and still finds time to serve as a full-time firefighter in the Indianapolis ar.eal'

Lytle.trains at the Integrated Fighting Academy, where he specializes in boxing, and jiu-jitsu. He holds championships in the Hook N' Shoot and Absolute Fighting Championship promotions und also won the Cage Rage World Welterweight Championship in 2005. Yoder said the highlight of Lytle's career came when he won the Indiana Association's Light Heavynveight Title in 2003, defeating his opponent by technical .
