2012 is a truly historic year in the life of the club. It is our first venture into the County League, our highest playing status and one that we hope to be able to enjoy for many years to come. We join the teams in the Sussex County League, with the hope of extending the quality of cricket on the green and developing new friendships within the cricketing community. We look forward to a long and rewarding association with the league and all who are connected to it.
We are very proud of our Colts section which has been growing year on year. We currently have over 150 boys and girls from age 6 to 16 enjoying the game on our Green. Our facilities have been extended thanks to the generosity of the Collard family who have made available a field adjacent to the ground. We are hoping that many happy hours of cricket will be enjoyed by all our players at all the facilities available to us.
We welcome Alex Edwards , a former professional player as the Club Coach who has made himself available to assist us in achieving the highest possible standard for our colts and senior players.
We have a reputation as a club for playing cricket in the true spirit of the game , and all who represent us to uphold the high standards of sportsmanship we expect of them. We hope that all visiting teams will experience the warmth and hospitality they have become accustomed to over the years.
The fixtures contained in this fixture card reflect an active and vibrant club. Thank you to the many people who contribute in different ways by working tirelessly behind the scenes to make the club something we can all be proud of.
