The Providence Plan; Providence, RI Director, ProvPlan Health Initiative 2011 – present

 Oversees ProvPlan’s management of the Rhode Island Small Employer Taskforce, including strategic communications and coordination of meetings and forums, through a contract with the Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner  Provides additional strategic consultation to the Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner including research, messaging, and facilitation  Oversees ProvPlan’s management of the HealthSource RI Outreach Team, which led successful public education and enrollment efforts for Open Enrollments One and Two. Responsibilities include strategic outreach planning and the development and implementation of presentations and outreach events  Provides additional consulting to HealthSource RI on communications and marketing  Serves in a strategic consultant role to the Rhode Island Department of Health, assisting the Commission for Health Advocacy and Equity  Supervises a staff of between 6 and 8  Facilitated the HealthSource RI Agile process from July through December, 2014 and the 2014 GoLive process

Director, New Roots Providence 2010 – 2013

 Coordinated this nonprofit capacity building program, providing funding, technical assistance, and training to Rhode Island’s nonprofit and faith communities  Oversaw the education of nonprofit leaders from 25 organizations in all facets of organizational performance management  Oversaw and provided skills training for professionals from approximately 250 nonprofit and faith community organizations every year  Provided strategic planning and organizational development facilitation for nonprofit organizations  Supervised a staff of 4

USAction & USAction Education Fund; , DC Development Director 2007 – May, 2010

 Responsible for planning and leading fundraising for combined annual 501(c)4 and 501(c)3 budgets of between $6,000,000 and $8,000,000  Carried out fundraising from foundations and major donors, produced fundraising events, completed grant reports, and assisted 27 state affiliates and partners in their fundraising efforts  Helped to secure the first $10,000,000 of an eventual $26,500,000 grant for advocacy efforts  Represented USAction at events in Washington, DC and throughout the country when necessary, including as a meeting facilitator

Ocean State Action & Ocean State Action Fund, Cranston, RI Executive Director 1995 - 2006 Associate Director 1993 – 1995

 Responsible for day-to-day administration of the Ocean State Action Fund, a 501(c)3 coalition of community organizations and labor unions throughout Rhode Island, and Ocean State Action, its sister 501(c)4 coalition  Acted as principal spokesperson  Coordinated significant health policy research and advocacy within the state administration and the General Assembly, including RIte Care expansions, creation of the Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner, and banning smoking in workplaces  Served as Co-Chair of the Rhode Island RIte Care Consumer Advisory Committee (from 1995 to 2004), and the Rhode Island Quality Institute’s Consumer Advisory Committee (2005 and 2006)  Designed and implemented fundraising for combined annual budgets of approximately $500,000
