Dear Members of Parliament,

This objection is addressed to the following Members of Parliament who must

SUPPORT A RAIL TUNNEL TO THE NORTHERN BEACHES and HAVE A STRONG OBJECTION TO A ROAD TUNNEL TO THE NORTHERN BEACHES

Gladys Berejiklian Robert Stokes David Elliott Matt Kean Jane Griffin

THIS IS A CRITICAL MOMENT IN YOUR POLITICAL HISTORY AND MUST BE GIVEN THE MOST SERIOUS ATTENTION OWING TO FUTURE CONSEQUENCES.

We strongly object to a road tunnel to the northern beaches:

We lose the opportunity to have fast reliable transport to and from the Northern Beaches We lose large areas of green space / parkland, of which we do not have much left in this area for the present population density, let alone density projected for the future of Sydney We lose water recycling We lose more clean air due to excessive pollution in an area which already has enough pollution from cars AND worse still, UNFILTERED STACKS are proposed, despite warnings from Chest physicians who have spoken publicly about the detriment of pollution to everyones health. The Government needs to listen to the chest physicians who have spoken at public meetings at North Sydney Council about the negative impacts of unfiltered stacks. Australia is considered a first world country. We lose peace and quiet ‐ traffic noise obviously exceeds the noise of modern rail

Changes in access and exit points to the Harbour Bridge, Harbour Tunnel and Cahill Expressway from existing points such as Falcon and Ernest Streets, and Cammeray and Kirribilli will create total chaos and traffic back up, therefore increasing travel times and road blocks for local residents trying to navigate their local areas.

1 Gosh help anyone who is in an accident in peak hour requiring help from emergency services. They will never get there.

PLEASE DO NOT BUILD MORE ROADS

THE LIBERAL GOVERNMENT IS / HAS SPENT BILLIONS ON RAIL OF RECENT YEARS AND THERE MUST BE ONE MORE TO COME ‐

TO THE NORTHERN BEACHES

Yours faithfully Jackie Bradshaw
