Chicago Ridge 75th Diamond Jubilee Anniversary I f: :t',l'l Chicago Ridge Village President Gene Siegel (right) and village clerk Chuck Tokar invite The Reporter residents and friends of the village to join them in the celebration of Chicago Ridge's 75th Dia- Section 1-B mond Jubilee Anniversary. Mayor Siegel and Clerk Tokar are pictured sitting in an authentic Thursday, July 13, 1989 1914 Ford Touring Model T, provided courtesy of Skip Hobson. (Photo by Ron Rehfeldt) The Reporter - Thursday, July 13, 1989 - Page 2 Progress through development keynotes village history On our 75th Anniversary, it is gratifying to see the progress the Village has made in the past, and we look forward to continuing our progress, making Chicago Ridge a better place to live and raise families. Chicago Ridge once was a small residential community with no tax base. Presently, with the develop- ment of the commercial properties, Chicago Ridge has built a tax base enabling the Village to expand services to its residents. Chicago Ridge is looking to the future in the development of light industrial properties and expanding the commercial areas to ensure the residents of a well-balanced community, with increased services with minimal or no cost to its residents. On behalf of my family, and our Village family, we wish to extend to all of our residents a Happy 75th Anniversary. Eugene L. If you choose Northwest Information Sharing and Security Alliance, we will get donations from Amazon. June 1st, 2020 (stats from May 30st, 2020) as of 12:00pm Local: Indiana 34,574 confirmed cases with 1,967 confirmed deaths – in all 92 counties – 261,546 tested, now that states are trying to re‐open while taking precaution, we will address how to proceed. Illinois 120,260 confirmed cases in 102 counties, 5,390confirmed deaths, 898259people tested. Governor Holcomb has used data to drive decisions since our first case of the novel coronavirus in early March. That will continue to be our practice as we contemplate a sector‐by‐sector reset. To get Back‐On‐Track, Indiana must continue to stay ahead of COVID‐19. To do this, we will employ a three‐pronged approach to detect the virus through robust testing, trace identified cases to prevent its spread, and protect Hoosiers as they return to work and the economy by developing a steady supply line of personal protective equipment. RAPID DETECTION THROUGH TESTING • Nearly 200 testing sites are available throughout the state. These include state‐provided, private, and community‐ sponsored locations. The goal is to test more than 100,000 Hoosiers per month. • In addition, the Indiana State Department of Health continues to deploy a dozen strike teams to quickly respond to suspected cases in high‐risk congregate settings, including long‐term care facilities, prisons and jails, and some large‐ scale essential employers.

  • NEWS RELEASE Centennial Unveils Transformational 'Central Park'
8750 North Central Expressway Suite 1740 Dallas, TX 75231 972-888-8000 www.centennialrec.com NEWS RELEASE Centennial Unveils Transformational ‘Central Park’ Vision for Two Midwest Shopping Centers Real Estate Investment Firm Re-Invents the Center Court Experience at Illinois’ Hawthorn Mall and Fox Valley Mall as Nature-Inspired Destinations DALLAS – May 2, 2019 – Centennial, a real estate investment firm with a national portfolio of shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations, announced today a new placemaking concept that will revolutionize the way customers experience the American shopping mall. With significant redevelopments kicking off at two of its Midwest properties - Hawthorn Mall in Vernon Hills, Illinois, and Fox Valley Mall in Aurora/Naperville, Illinois - Centennial has created a unique-to-industry way to transform each property’s dated center court space into a vibrant, exciting, multi-use “central park” environment that will enhance the experience of existing customers and draw new visitors to each mall again and again. With the help of international design firm Stantec and construction services expert Graycor Construction Company, Centennial, a forward-thinking visionary in the shopping center industry, will invest over $12 million to re- imagine the two centers’ 31,115 square feet of underutilized center court space as brand-new outdoor- themed destinations where people will congregate, relax and spend time with one another year-round, no matter the weather. “When developers purchase shopping centers built several decades ago and work to redevelop them in more modern and engaging ways, they face significant challenges in increasing traffic and adding new tenants,’” says Steven Levin, Centennial’s CEO.

COVID-19 Response – Updated 6/3/20 On June 4th, Von Maur will have 100% of our stores open in the communities that we serve. I am grateful for the response we have received from customers and appreciate your ongoing support of Von Maur. Together, we are upholding the practices that we know will help to ensure the safety of everyone in our communities. Just as we had to weigh the decision to open, individuals have to weigh their personal decision to visit our stores. Your patience has been instrumental as we adapt to our changed shopping environment. Social distancing, limited occupancy and hours, and altered high touch services like makeovers and lingerie fittings have all contributed to the safety measures taken for both employees and customers. I’m sure in the coming months, more changes will be made to support the new way we must do business. However, our commitment to customer service will remain steadfast. No matter how long before you feel comfortable to shop with Von Maur again, be confident in knowing that we will be right here, in your community, waiting to greet you with a smile.
