It was RESOLVED to accept the Minutes of the previous Meeting as a true and accurate record of that Meeting. They were signed by the Chairman.

It was noted that the AGM Minutes had also been circulated but that these would come forward for approval at the next AGM.

POLICE: It was noted that they would not be coming to the July Meeting and that the dates proposed were not nights of Council Meetings. It was RESOLVED to inform the Police of the dates of the October and November Council Meetings.

i. Planning Guidance: borrowed by Cllr. Mr. Quincey ii. Bethania Chapel: Noted that following the Council letter it was being inspected by Gwynedd building control with a view to requiring work to be done.

E. QUARRY APPEAL

It was RESOLVED to await the outcome before making any comments to Gwynedd.

27-18/19 Y FYNWENT/CEMETERY

A. ANY PAYMENTS FOR WORK UNDERTAKEN

It was RESOLVED to pay Mr. Rowland £220.00 for work at the cemetery It was RESOLVED to pay Mr. Jones £550.00 for grave digging (Saturday rate).

B. BOTTOM OF GRAVEYARD AND SPARE LAND/TENANCY AGREEMENT

It was noted that the Agreement had been received and it was RESOLVED that the Chairman sign it and that the area to which the Agreement referred would be known as ‘Cae’r Fynwent’.

C. ANY PAYMENTS RECEIVED

It was noted that £1,480 had been received in respect of the Saturday burial of Elvira Wyn Jones.

D. BRON HAUL CAR PARK

It was noted that the Car Park which was just below the old cemetery could be sold. It was RESOLVED to reaffirm the Council’s wish to purchase the Car Park in order to preserve its use for the residents and visitors and to authorise Cllr. Mr. Quincey to correspond with the present owners.

Cllr. Mr. Quincey reported.

i. Cllr. Ms. Wells reported on the various activities at the School.

ii. The response from Gwynedd regarding the dangers of the car park was noted as indicating that they would look into it. iii. It was RESOLVED to examine the potential of a plaque to commemorate John Disley, a former pupil at the school, at Trigfan.

30-18/19 DEDDF TRWYDDEDU 2003/LICENSING ACT 2003

It was noted that the Braich Goch was also adding the name Red Arm to its advertising material. It was wondered if at some point they would be taking over the license.

Schedule of grass cutting noted received.

C. FORESTRY EXTRACTION

BTWYS: The Chairman and Cllr. Mr. Quincey reported that work to the trees nearer the road was expected to start in about five weeks and take about eighteen weeks to complete. It was hoped that the road would be open during rush hours.

D. FOOTPATHS

No matters to report.

32-18/19 CAEAU CHWARAE/PLAYING FIELDS AND PLAYGROUNDS

A. KING GEORGE V PLAYING FIELDS

Pump Track: There was nothing further to report.

B. CAEAU CHWARAE CORRIS/CORRIS PLAY AREAS

i. It was RESOLVED to pay Mr. Rowlands £75 for work to both play grounds including work to trees/hedge. ii. Noted that Cllr. Mr. Quincey would be removing the spring rides when a generator was available. The possibility of fencing the space off for equipment for older children was discussed and Cllr. Mr. McCue undertook to look at it. iii. Noted that Cllr. Mr. McCue had temporarily blocked up the space under the fence. iv. Noted that Jones of Bethesda had supplied the original fencing at Corris Uchaf and would hopefully be able to repair/replace and extend. v. Bin; Cllr. Mr. McCue reported that the bin was full to overflowing and that Gwynedd would now be emptying it.

Noted that Cllr. Mr. Richardson would be painting the seat and gate at the cemetery.

B. CROSSING KEEPERS’ SHELTER

C. BUS SHELTERS

Cllr. Mr. Quincey reported on progress towards installation. It was RESOLVED to pay the invoice for £4,610.40 for the shelter.

D. THE ORCHARD

i. It was RESOLVED to pay Mr. Rowland £20.00 for tidying ii. It was noted that people were now using the picnic area.

E. THE FOLLY

Possible play uses were discussed but it was considered that it was too close to the road for any play related activities.

F. BAND INSTRUMENTS

Cllr. Mr. R. Edwards reported on having made contact with potentially interested parties.

A. REPORT AND BALANCES

Noted the balance in the community account was £10,701.17 Noted the balance in the business account was £776.12

It was noted that the mandate papers had apparently not arrived at Barclays and that new applications would have to be made.

It was RESOLVED to authorise the following payments:

i. Following approval by email consultation, the accounts had been submitted to the external auditor.

ii. It was formally RESOLVED to approve the action. iii. Cllr. Ms. Olsson was thanked for the work she had done.

E. CORRIS UCHAF MEETING AND FUNDS

It was RESOLVED to pay Mr. Philip Davies £150 in respect of the purchase of a marquee for events in Corris Uchaf, its first use having been for the Royal Wedding party.

F. GRANT AID

It was RESOLVED to donate £500 to the Institute It was RESOLVED to donate £200 to Pantperthog Village Hall

Resolved that the Council’s banking details could be provided to the Railway Society to enable them to transfer their contribution to keep the toilets open direct to the Council’s bank account (with a suitable reference).

A. DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING AND ACQUISITION

Work to install the Aberllefenni defibrillator would commence shortly

B. DEMENTIA AWARENESS

It was RESOLVED to leave the poster up for another month.

C. PROBLEMS WITH THE REGISTRATIN OF LOCUMS

The responses from the minister noted and it was RESOLVED to write deploring the lack of progress in the matter which was adversely affecting rural populations in particular.

39-18/19 COUNCIL WEB SITE/IT

Noted that the Agenda a May Minutes had been sent to Anglesey Solutions to upload.

40-18/19 DATA PROTECTION LEGISLATION

It was noted that the Council was now registered but no billing had been received. It now seemed, according to One Voice , that the legislation was to be changed so that Town, Community and Parish Councils would not need to appoint a Data Protection Officer.
