Ivey has been playing in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) since 2001. She played for the Indiana Fever from 2001- 2004 and is currently a member of the Phoenix Mercury, a team she joined in 2005.

Ivey was a member of the University of Notre Dame women’s basketball team from 1996- 2001 and was a team captain during her last three years with the Irish. Ivey was ND’s starting point guard during Notre Dame’s 2001 National Championship run. Ivey earned Third Team AP All-America honors and was also a First Team All-BIG EAST selection during the 2001 season.

She was a Second Team All-BIG EAST selection ‘ in 1999-00 and earned Third Team honors in ‘ NieleIvey 1998-99.
