ABSTRACT The morphological characteristics of five species of pollen from the subfamily Cactoideae, family Cactaceae, were described: Three species, Echinopsis chalaensis (Rauh & Backeb.) Friedrich & G.D.Rowley, Haageocereus decumbens (Vaupel) Backeb. and Pygmaeocereus sp. Johnson & Backeb., (Trichocereeae tribe); Corryocactus brevistylus (K. Schum. ex Vaupel) Britton & Rose (Pachycereeae tribe) and Neoraimondia arequipensis (Meyen) Backeb., (Browningieae tribe). All pollen grains observed under a light microscope appeared in monades, shape varying from spheroidal to spheroidal oblate; all colpate, with the exception of C. brevistylus, with spinules < 1 µm to 2 µm; exine thickness varied 2 - 3 µm; tectum without perceptible differences, always was pierced. -

SUMÁRIOSUMÁRIO EXECUTIVOEXECUTIVO DODO PLANOPLANO DEDE AÇÃOAÇÃO NACIONALNACIONAL PARAPARA CONSERVAÇÃOCONSERVAÇÃO DEDE CACTÁCEASCACTÁCEAS A Instrução Normativa nº 6/2008, do MMA, reconheceu 472 espécies na Lista Oficial da Flora Ameaçada do Brasil, incluindo ameaçadas e deficientes de dados. Os biomas Mata Atlântica e Cerrado registram o maior número dessas espécies. O Instituto Chico Mendes de Conservação da Biodiversidade, com base na Portaria MMA/ICMBio nº 316/2009, coordenou uma estratégia para a conservação das cactáceas: o Plano de Ação Nacional para Conservação de Cactáceas – PAN Cactáceas. O Plano representa a primeira iniciativa para conservação de espécies da flora, sendo coordenado pelo Centro Nacional de Pesquisa para Conservação da Biodiversidade do Cerrado e Caatinga - CECAT/ ICMBio e aprovado por meio da Portaria nº 84/2010. Abrange os biomas Cerrado, Pampa, Pantanal, Caatinga, Mata Atlântica e Amazônia em 15 estados - Espírito Santo, São Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio de Janeiro, parte de Minas Gerais, Goiás, Tocantins, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Piauí, parte de Rondônia e Amazonas.
