2013 UTAH STATE TEAM HIGHLIGHTS: Utah State played in back-to-back-to-bowl games for the first time in school history in 2013, and also won consecutive bowl games for the first time ever with its 21-14 win against No. 24 Northern Illinois in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl... USU also won the Mountain Division of the Mountain West and advanced to the inaugural Mountain West Championship game as it set a school record with seven conference wins... USU finished the season tied for 37th in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches’ Polls and ended the year with a 9-5 record, which is tied for the second-most wins in school history... USU’s 2013 senior class won 31 games, which is first all-time in school history.

2013 INDIVIDUAL SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: Played in all 14 games, starting 13... Earned third-team All-American honors from College Sports Mad- ness and was named first-team all-Mountain West after ranking third in the conference and 25th in the nation in passes defended (1.21 pg), and tied for eighth in the conference and tied for 82nd in the nation in (0.29 pg)... Was named the Mountain West’s Defensive Player of the Week twice during the year against Boise State (10/12) and against UNLV (11/9)... Recorded a career-high two interceptions against the Broncos, returning one 65 yards for his first career , while adding a career-high five passes defended and tying his career-high with nine tackles... Against the Rebels, he recorded four tackles, including one for loss on a fake field goal, to go along with two pass break- ups and one in the end zone... Added a career-high five pass breakups against Hawai’i (11/2)... Finished the year first on the team in passes defended (17) as he had 13 pass breakups and four interceptions, which ranked first and second on the team, respectively... Also tied for fifth on the team in total tackles with 57 (33-solo, 24-assist), and was sixth on the team with 5.0 tackles for loss... Added one forced during the season against Fresno State (12/7) in the championship game of the Mountain West... Recorded four or more tackles in eight games, and had three games with multiple passes defended.
