It reflects the quality as well as the health of the ecosystem because the floral community are the producers which support the growth and development of ecosystem. It reflects the inflow of nutrients and recycling processes through bio-geochemical processes. Indiscriminate use of different chemicals and articles for different purposes produced by different leading factories for the modern development of human societies causes threat to the environment and loosing the biodiversity which significantly destroying the environment rapidly. The main reason is increasing load of human population which damaging the environment and degrading the ecosystem by pollution directly or indirectly. The present paper reflects the 57 floral elements under 29 families and the community structure including eco-degradation process which could be a starting point of extension through community research by a group of workers in future. Hope that interested people will come and take that opportunity to record the problems for future study and assessment about the dwindling ecosystem for our existence at Lalgarh.

This present documentation records the butterfly diversity of the three districts Jhargram, Paschim Medinipur, and Purba Medinipur, which formed the former Medinipur district. A total of 139 species belong to 94 genera and six families have been recorded. Among all families, Lycaenidae and Nymphalidae are the most abundant. Among the three districts, most species were found from Jhargram district. Fluffy Tit, Angled Pierrot and Common Lascar are the first time recorded from southern West Bengal. Rapid urbanization, deforestation, uncontrolled developmental works, and changing the character of Coastal zone is some of the threats to butterflies in these areas. So it was a great need to prepare a list of butterflies by which the past changes in the species diversity and number of butterflies in the future able to understand. The present exploration studies the level of awareness based on gender, age, and literacy status. This study evokes a significant difference in educational awareness among literate and semi-literate persons, residing in Nayagram Block, Jhargram District of West Bengal.     DISTRICT DISASTER MANAGEMENT PLAN JHARGRAM - 2020 Office of the District Magistrate Jhargram FOREWORD Disaster Management is a process or strategy that is implemented when any type of catastrophic event takes place. A truly comprehensive disaster management action plan will encompass a wide range of possibilities that can easily be adopted in the event of any disaster that sets off a chain reaction of other types of disasters in its wake. Jhargram district in the past has experienced disasters like flood, drought, cyclone etc. In the year 2013 the district experienced of flood due to heavy rainfall in upper catchment areas and huge discharge from dams. We can minimize the suffering of the affected people by providing assistance to them in case of emergency. Preparation of Disaster Management Plan-2020 is viewed as a part of preparedness with a view to take appropriate action to save human lives and properties in the face of disaster. The Disaster Management Action Plan-2020 is a co-ordinated effort of Disaster Management Section of Jhargram Collectorate and other line departments. These departments actively engage themselves during the period of disasters like flood, cyclone etc. The action plan and contingency plan of these departments have been incorporated in this Plan. I hope that this plan will be immensely helpful to the Government officers of Jhargram and will be an important source of information and document in the event of disasters. This plan will also prove to be helpful in serving the purpose of saving affected people and mitigating their sufferings with the efforts and dedication of all the persons associated with Disaster Management.
