VICE PRESIDENT I would like to begin this letter with a sincere THANK Barbara Yamada-Amidon YOU for your response to our call for Alf Engen Ski SECRETARY Museum Memberships. Joseph Arave We have had a busy winter here at the Alf Engen Ski Kristi Terzian Cumming Museum and Utah Olympic Park. Our education program has seen over 1,500 David Davenport students, parents and teachers from 26 schools visit us and take advantage Spencer P. Eccles of a most unique experience. Thank you, docents in particular, for your Alan K. Engen efforts in making this program a signature event that keeps schools wanting Jon S. Engen to participate year after year. The feedback from participating schools has James Gaddis been extremely complimentary. A teacher from Granger Elementary wrote, Don Hague “Thanks so much for a great field trip today! …The museum is so neat and I’m Herbert C. Livsey embarrassed I did not know it was even there. The docents were wonderful Barbara McConvill and we all had a great time. We hope to bring next year’s class back too.” Bradley A. Olch Another teacher from Washington Elementary who visited on April 26 said, “Thank you so much for providing such a fabulous field trip yesterday! The kids David C. Pickett and parents all had a blast! ...It is truly a great facility that will be enjoyed for David Quinney years to come!” (See page 11 for a complete Education Update.) Dr. Greg C. Thompson Ted Wilson The Kimball Art Center and the Alf Engen Ski Museum Foundation partnered in an exciting exhibit featuring 43 of Ray Atkeson’s Ski and Snow Country Honorary Board 2 framed photographs. The photos were displayed February 4 - March 5, 2006 at Members the Kimball Art Center’s Main Gallery. A reception for invited guests was held Ruth Rogers Altmann on February 18th and an “Art Talk” was presented by Rick Schafer on February NEW YORK CITY, NY 22nd. The feedback from both the Kimball Art Center and the general public George Ator was outstanding. Thank you, Ray Atkeson Exhibit Committee members, for your PITTSBURGH, PA efforts in helping produce this exhibit. The Committee is now working toward John Bower producing a permanent exhibit in the Alf Engen Ski Museum entryway. (See ST.
