TEMPO is the AFM’s nonpartisan, multi-candidate political action fund that is supported entirely by the voluntary contributions of AFM members, staff and family. Contributions from others cannot be accepted and will be returned. TEMPO contributions are used for political purposes, including contributions and expenditures in federal and state elections and to support candidates of either party who have a demonstrated record of support for professional musicians, issues of concern to its members and the arts in general. Contributions to the CFM College Scholarship Fund for Music Students are in memory of Leland Baska, Loren Binford, Frank D’Rone, Shelly Elias, Rick Frigo and Wayne Roepke. This fund helps the CFM continue to offer financial assistance for children of CFM members as well as students of CFM members that are currently working toward a music degree.
