a) 001X Newstead St Mary the Virgin [Unlisted - 1928] Architect: Mr G A Renton Local Authority: Gedling Replacement of Windows around the church - AA 26/2/2020 1 To replace the windows on the north and south sides of the church in the same style in UPVC 2 To supply and fit fifteen new windows, with Georgian bar and white frames and openers 3 All in accordance with quotation dated 20 November 2019 from Glazebee Windows and Doors, Newstead Village, Notts Deferred. UPVC not being used but further options and costings to be considered

b) 208BX Bleasby St Mary [Grade II - 13th Century] Architect: Mr M Goodwill-Hodgson Local Authority: Newark & Sherwood To incorporate the Sachel and Sheepshanke headstone into the floor near the font - AA 16/4/2020 1 To incorporate the Sachel and Sheepshanke headstone from the churchyard into the floor near the font 2 To take out the first two pews and wooden frontal from behind the font (to the left side of the main door), moving the frontal to the pew behind. 3 Cut back the wooden platform, and return the timber edge to a nice finish, clearing space to lay the headstone from outside the church 4 Construct a small cart to transport the stone from outside the church to its final resting place inside the church. 5 Finish off around the edge of the stone with york stone to match the existing church floor. 6 All in accordance with Quotation from BMK Ltd, Normanton, Southwell, Notts dated 12 January 2020 and photos supplied Deferred. No further details from parish yet received

c) 069M Farnsfield St Michael [Grade II - reb. 1860] Architect: Mr A Wahlers Local Authority: Newark & Sherwood Peal Board - AA 31/5/2020 1 Hang a peal board in the church on the wall in the bell tower 2 Board manufactured in oak 600mm high x 450mm wide; wording laser etched onto wood; board to be hung with wire and picture hook 3 All in accordance with details of board provided and dated 31 May 2020 No objection

d) 91BH Hyson Green St Stephen [Grade II - 1898] Architect: Mr M Goodwill-Hodgson Local Authority: Nottingham LED Monitors - AA 5/5/2020 1 Replacing the current Data Projector with 3no 75" Smart 4K Ultra HD LED flat-screen monitors 2 To remove the existing bracket and back projection screen used by the current Data Projector and retain for re-use. 3 To fix in its place two LED flat-screen TVs (LG 75UM7000PLA), 978 x 1693 mm. One mounted on the same pillar in a different position and the other mounted symmetrically on the equivalent pillar on the other side of the church. 4 The positions of the TV monitors are as shown in the accompanying plans and photographs 5 The TV monitors will be attached to the pillars using Vivanco BTI 6080 Tilt TV Brackets. These will be mounted into the mortar joints. 6 Position a third similar TV monitor mounted on the flat roof above the lounge at the back of the church to be viewed by the music group and those leading the services from the front 7 The video signal is to be transmitted to the monitor screens via an HDMI splitter extender using CAT6a ethernet cables. (PW-HTS0104IR(POC)). The cables are to be concealed, high in the eaves with existing wiring and also in the heating duct. 8 All in accordance with details, photos and information supplied and specification and quotations from Currys.co.uk DAC received response from parish following last month’s deferral

a) 062L Edwinstowe St Mary [Grade I - 12th Century] Architect: Mr G A Renton Local Authority: Newark & Sherwood Upgrade to Sound System (List B) 3/6/2020 1 The installation of a new sound system with associated cabling and new pillar-mounted speakers. 2 System to be controlled by the Allen & Heath QU-PAC digital mixer. This unit is a compact rack mounted device, with operation via iPad. The system will be installed in the existing cabinet in the creche/tower room 3 The existing wireless microphones to be retained. 4 The existing 8in/4out XLR stagebox will be retained; an RJ45 (network) socket will be installed at the base of the front south pillar 5 A line input socket, for simple connection of any line level or headphone output device, will be installed at the rear of the nave and at the front south base of the pillar 6 The existing induction loop is in good condition and will be retained. 7 6 x Apart Mask 8F-B speakers will be installed in the aisle roof timbers as illustrated. The speakers will be facing through the arches, providing a very even coverage of both the nave and aisles from the most discrete locations 8 2 x Apart Mask 4CT-B speakers will be mounted in the chancel, either side of the arch. These will be painted to stone. 9 An Apart Sub 2201 subwoofer will be installed in the organ to enhance the low frequency response of the system 10 All in accordance with report, specification and quotation dated 10 February 2020 from Hilltop Audio Visual Ltd, Risley, Derbyshire No objection

b) 156T Ordsall All Hallows [Grade II* - 12th Century] Architect: Mr C Andrews Local Authority: Bassetlaw Pollarding Lime Tree (List B) 11/6/2020 1 To pollard the lime tree alongside the private path in the churchyard 2 To reduce the height of the lime tree from 12m to 6m and the spread from 5m to 3m 3 All in accordance with quotation & report dated 3 June 2020 from Maplebeck Tree Care Ltd, Maplebeck, Newark, Notts No objection

2 c) 056BX East Markham St John the Baptist [Grade I - 14th Century] Architect: Mr C Andrews Local Authority: Bassetlaw Installation of a Wash Hand Basin (List B) 15/6/2020 1 Installation of a dedicated hand wash basin for the kitchen area 2 Install Rondo Wall Hung Small Cloakroom Basin 1TH 365 x 180mm 3 To fit a small basin on the outside of the stud wall of the toilet; plumbing can go through the stud wall and T into existing pipework; there will be no interference with any historic fabric 4 All in accordance with details and sketch drawing provided and dated 15 June 2020 No objection d) 203BK Sutton-on-Trent All Saints [Grade I - 13th Century] Architect: Mr M Goodwill-Hodgson Local Authority: Newark & Sherwood Wall Repair (List B) 17/6/2020 1 Repair to brick pillar hit by vehicle 2 Take down and reclaim dislodged brick work and rebuild 3 Works to be undertaken by Martin Blanchard, Builder, Sutton on Trent, Notts No objection e) 005W Averham St Michael & All Angels [Grade I - 11th Century] Architect: Miss J C Holt Local Authority: Newark & Sherwood Resurfacing and Lighting to Church Footpath 24/6/2020 1 To resurface, widen and light the public right of way to the church to improve accessibility 2 To the tarmac footpath; remove problem areas and access roots, remove if possible or raise ground level if required. 3 Install 50mm depth of 20mm D Binder to areas removed and install 25mm of 6mm surface course to full distance 4 Excavate new 500mm width 300mm deep and aggregate infill in preperation for new surface course. 5 Extra cost to increase the finish Asphalt width of the path by 400mm. (50mm of 20mm base/25mm of 6mm Surface course) 6 To install discreet motion activated lighting as the church is inaccessible in the dark; install 15 x KSR 600mm high Bollard lights; Install 2 x down lights to archway. 7 Calanda Bollard Range with an anthracite finish 8.5w CREE LED technology supplied in 3000K as standard with a 15° emitting beam angle; Strong Cast Aluminium Body with a Life Expectancy up to 40,000hrs 8 All lighting will be wired in SWA cable and where possible buried underground while the path is being resurfaced, elsewhere the cable will be fixed at low level to the church. 9 All the lighting will be switched together and controlled by timeclock, photocell and override facility 10 All in accordance with specification and quotation dated 2 Feb 2018 from CF Construction Ltd, Stapleford, Lincs; specification and quotation dated 10 Feb 2020 from Viking Electrical, Balderton, Newark, Notts Deferred. DAC want to see a plan of the area including the position of the lights f) 022BR Scrooby St Wilfrid [Grade II* - 13th Century] Architect: Mr. C J Moxon Local Authority: Bassetlaw Boundary Wall Repair (List B) 24/6/2020 1 Remove vegetation, inspect all joints and prepare carefully c.80-100% of total area for repointing. 2 Repoint using lime mortar (NHL 3.5, 1:3 mix-sand to be 2 parts sharp and 1 part soft) 3 Joints finished with a flush, brushed joint. 4 Mortar will be protected with damp hessian for at least 7 days. 5 All in accordance with photos and specification supplied by Jason Mordan, Senior Practitioner Historic Buildings, County Council No objection subject to: stones to be checked for possible previous use or carving. g) 060X Edingley St Giles [Grade II* - 12th Century] Architect: Mr A Wahlers Local Authority: Newark & Sherwood Felling of Conifers 26/6/2020 1 To fell three Leylandii in the churchyard to ground level 2 Stumps to remain in place to protect the churchyard 3 All in accordance with quotation dated 16 January 2020 from Turnbull & Son, Professional Tree and Hedge Care, Southwell and report from Mr FJR Stephenson, DAC Tree Adviser No objection h) 068BW Hawton All Saints [Grade I - 14th Century] Architect: Local Authority: Newark & Sherwood Augmentation of Bells 30/6/2020 1 To augment the bells to a peal of 10 with two smaller bells and new ringing fittings 2 To add a new Treble bell and a Second bell

3 3 New Treble bell to be cast in the foundry and decorated with appropriate ornamentation, foundry stamp and the year of casting 4 A suitable second bell is being donated by the Keltek Trust; this is from a church in Lancaster cast by Warner in 1853 5 The Tenor bell will be moved to allow both new bells to be fitted in their respective pits 6 All in accordance with specification and quotation dated 30 June 2020, Masonry Drawing dated 6 Sept 2018 and Rope Hole Positions drawing dated 24 Sept 2018 all from John Taylor & Co, Loughborough, Leics; Partial Frequencies of Bells details dated 3 March 2020 and Tonal Analysis Report on Second Bell dated 7 September 2018 from the Keltek Trust and Statements of Significance and Need dated June 2020 No objection. b) 139BH Nottingham St Mary the Virgin [Grade I - 12th Century] Architect: Mr P C Rogan Local Authority: Nottingham Restoration and Conservation work to Oil Painting (revised) 18/6/2020 1 To undertake restoration work to the painting 'Madonna and Child' by Fra Bartolomeo currently hanging above the Lectern on the south east pillar in the Nave. 2 Painting has been removed from the frame and fully examined to ascertain the work required 3 To consolidate all areas of lifting and flaking paint and ground 4 Following consolidation and dirt and varnish removal an isolating varnish of Paraloid B72 to be applied 5 Fillings carried out with materials such as calcium carbonate and Mowilith DM427 6 Retouching to be carried out with Paraloid B72 retouching medium and dry ground pigments 7 A final protective spray varnish of MS2A or Paraloid B72 to be applied; surface dust to be removed from the gilding to the frame with a soft brush 8 Remove all surface dirt to the gilding following tests with varying strengths of triammonium citrate 9 Panel to be replaced securely in the frame and a moisture barrier, Tyvek, to be attached to the reverse as desirable 10 Painting to be re-hung on the north wall above the choir stalls with a picture light to illuminate it as required and alarm re-routed to accommodate the new location; a plastic membrane will protect the painting from the wall and allow for air circulation 11 The current very thick glazing to be removed; if adviseable a low reflect, UV filtered glass will be used instead 12 All in accordance with Preliminary Condition Report & Quotation dated 21 January 2020 and Conservation Report dated 9 March 2020 from Dian Hall Conservation with photographs supplied and Painting Relocation document dated June 2020 by Revd Tom Gillum No objection

d) 139BH Nottingham St Peter with St James [Grade I - 12th Century] Architect: Mr P C Rogan Local Authority: Nottingham Interactive Information Kiosk 24/6/2020 1 To install a free-standing touch-screen kiosk in church to provide fingertip access to information to visitors to the church about its long and rich history, its architecture, and its role in today's ministry to the residents of the City of Nottingham 4 2 Free-standing kiosk will be based at the south west corner of the church, as per diagram; plugged into an available socket 3 Its dimensions are approximately 1m high with an angled screen (enabling wheelchair accessibility), 4 The idea is that visitors can tap on a home screen photo of the church to access various points of interest, showing photographs and textual information to enlighten the visitor. 5 All metal floor standing kiosk unit powder coated in a custom RAL colour 6 Kiosk to have 22" Screen, 10 point touch, edge-edge glass 16:9 ratio 7 All in accordance with Specification and Quotation dated 2 August 2019 from Heritage Interactive Ltd, Wartnaby, Leics; church plan layout and Statements of Significance and Need No objection

e) 223BJ Hawksworth St Mary (Partially Redundant-1989) [Grade II* - 13th Century; reb 1812 - 1851] Architect: Mr M Stewart Local Authority: Rushcliffe Re-siting of Tympanum 2/7/2020 1 The removal of a Norman tympanum from its external position on the south wall, and then to be displayed inside the church, to protect it in a more controlled environment. A replica to be placed in the original site. 2 The tympanum is a single piece of stone (Probably type dolomitic sandstone), it is semi-circular 1075mm wide x 660mm high and of an unknown thickness 3 The Tympanum arch and heads to be relocated to a new position on the interior south wall near the west entrance 4 To be mounted on the wall with steel supports, with the lower edge roughly level with the top of the Cross Shaft 5 A stone replica of the tympanum to be placed in the current location, making clear that this is a replica and an inscription to state this; this stone to be in Ancaster Hard White limestone; some form of weather protection to the top will be required as per report 6 Exterior replica to retain the original voussoirs and heads, resetting around the reproduction 7 All in accordance with Conservation Report dated May 2020 by Skillingtons, Grantham, Lincs and Statements of Significance and Need dated 1 July 2020 Recommended subject to: To take a full photographic record when the tympanum is removed.

• Update on the details for the manifestation proposed on the doors at Keyworth St Mary • The DAC Secretary informed the DAC of a recent theft of lead flashings at East Drayton • The DAC Secretary reminded the DAC regrading the re-opening of church buildings following the easing of restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic • Reminder of the Net-Zero consultation period ends on 17 August 2020 • Graeme Renton announced that the annual ‘Ride and Stride’ fundraiser will still be going ahead if only with a much reduced format
