The Brigham Young University Singers is an exciting choir with impressive voices and a wide range of styles. The group performs pieces from nearly every musical genre and many original works written or arranged for the ensemble. The choir has performed in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Sydney Opera House, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Hanoi Opera House, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. Sonja Poulter is a native of Germany. She received undergraduate and gradu- ate degrees from the University of Mu- sic and Performing Arts and the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. She is a member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square and frequently conducts choirs for gen- eral events of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including the church’s annual music festival. In 2018 she co-founded the Amavi Chorale, a project-based chamber ensemble with highly trained and experienced choral singers from along the Wasatch Front.
