2 granny smith apples, peeled, cored and cubed into 1/4” pieces 2 c flour 1/3 c sugar 1 Tbsp. baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 tsp cinnamon 3/4 c apple cider 2 eggs, beaten 2 Tbsp. butter, melted 3 c oil

Glaze: 2 c confectioners sugar 1/4 c apple cider 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl. Stir in cider, eggs, butter and apples. 2. Heat oil in heavy pot until it reaches 350. Ready a paper lined baking sheet nearby. 3. Drop about three 1/3 c of bat- ter into the oil and cook till golden brown. Drain on paper. 4. Repeat to make 9 fritters. 5. For glaze, whisk together ingre- dients. Dip fritters in glaze and set on rack to dry.

Visitors through January 2018 to the august Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto, Ontario will see an obscene display among the collections of dinosaur fossils, Egyptian mummies and suits of armor – a 1:1 scale model of a gas chamber from Auschwitz where some one million Jews were put to death from 1942 to 1944.

The temporary installation, called “The Evidence Room,” consists of white plaster replicas of elements of the Nazi death camp murder machine. In October, KOT’s new rabbi, Ori Bergman and his wife, Nora, hosted a Sukkot barbecue in their backyard. More than 100 people from all parts of the city attended the event and lots of introductions took place throughout the afternoon. Both the Rabbi’s and Nora’s parents were in attendance, which allowed the members of the congregation to introduce themselves. The backyard was filled with kids having a good time together.
