PRESENTATION OF ELECTION RETURNS The Honorable Basil L. Merenda, Secretary of the Commonwealth presented Election Returns.

OATH OF OFFICE The Oath of Office was administered to the newly elected and re-elected Republican Senators by The Honorable Ronald D. Castille, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

The Oath of Office was administered to the newly elected and re-elected Democrat Senators by The Honorable Max Baer, Justice, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

ELECTION OF PRESIDENT PRO TEMPORE Senator Joe Scarnati was unanimously elected President Pro Tempore of the Senate of Pennsylvania. The Oath of Office was administered by The Honorable Ronald D. Castille, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

ELECTION OF SECRETARY OF THE SENATE The Honorable Mark R. Corrigan was unanimously re-elected Secretary of the Senate. The Oath of Office was administered by The Honorable Ronald D. Castille, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

ELECTION OF CHIEF CLERK OF THE SENATE The Honorable W. Russell Faber was unanimously re-elected Chief Clerk of the Senate. The Oath of Office was administered by The Honorable Ronald D. Castille, Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

JOINT SESSION The Senate and House of Representatives met in Joint Session in the Hall of the House of Representatives for the purpose of witnessing the opening, counting and computing the official returns of the election for Governor and Lt. Governor.
