In October, Randy Travis was officially inducted into The Country Music Hall of Fame. The multi-platinum country gi- ant suffered a massive stroke in 2013 and has made miraculous strides towards recovery since, recently singing “Amazing Grace” at his Country Music Hall of Fame induction ceremony as well as the tagline to his iconic “Forever and Ever, Amen” at the 2016 CMA Awards in November alongside numerous country legends and stars. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Randy Travis Foundation; a 501(c) 3 non-profit that raises money for stroke research and rehabilitation. "Nashville is coming together on February 8 for one night in one place and at one time to give back to their friend and musical hero, Randy Travis. It’s amazing to see the support that Randy has received from the music industry since his stroke. We’re thrilled to have all of these artists come out and pay tribute to him," said producer of the event and Travis’ manager, Tony Con- way of Conway Entertainment Group. www.RandyTravis.com PG 7 www.countryentertainmentusa.com PG 8 www.countryentertainmentusa.com Larry Stewart Speaks Out Larry Stewart, lead singer of legendary country group Restless Heart spoke out following his performance at the presidential inauguration in Washington D.C. "It was such an honor to be asked to represent our country and to be a part of that historic event," says Stewart. "The concert celebrating the incoming president was the largest crowd I've performed for in my career. We were told there were nearly a million people. Amazing!" Stewart along with Lonestar's Richie McDonald and Tim Rushlow, for- merly of Little Texas, collectively known as the Frontmen of Country, rep- resented Nashville as they performed at the Make America Great Again concert at the Lincoln Memorial. Stewart continues, "Performing those Restless Heart hits on so many major national news networks in America was absolutely incredible. However, there were a few news stories implying I was no longer the lead singer of Restless Heart. That's not true. I'm still with the band doing almost 100 concerts a year." The five original members of Restless Heart, John Dittrich, Dave Innis, Paul Gregg, Greg Jennings, and Stewart, are entering their 34th year on the road. www.RestlessHeartBand.com Promote Your Business or Artist(s) Advertise Events, Products or Services Great Rates ♦ ADVERTISE ♦ Great Service March Issue Deadline ~ Monday February 27th Country Entertainment USA Magazine www.countryentertainmentusa.com Call Roy (615) 474-0162 E-mail: [email protected] PG 9 www.countryentertainmentusa.com 2017 Class of New Faces of Country Music Show Announced The 2017 New Faces of Country Music Show, which will take place during Country Radio Seminar (Feb. 22-24, 2017), will feature performances by William Michael Morgan (Warner Bros.), Maren Morris (Columbia Nashville), Jon Pardi (Capitol Nashville), Granger Smith (Wheelhouse Records) and Drake White (Dot Records). www.CountryRadioSeminar.com PG 10 www.countryentertainmentusa.com JOHN A's The Commodore Grille 2421 Music Valley Dr. 2613 West End Ave Nashville, TN 37214 Nashville, TN 37203 PH: 615-885-1540 No Cover Sun, Mon, Wed and Thurs 7:00 pm -11:00 pm The Nashville Palace 2611 McGavock Pike Hosted by Debi Champion Nashville, TN 37214 PH: (615) 889-1540 PG 11 www.countryentertainmentusa.com Promote Your Business or Artist(s) Advertise Events, Products or Services Great Rates ♦ ADVERTISE ♦ Great Service March Issue Deadline Monday February 27th Country Entertainment USA Magazine www.countryentertainmentusa.com Call Roy (615) 474-0162 E-mail: [email protected] Subscribe To Country Entertainment USA ♦ Only $48 for US The Magazine is FREE the cost is to help with the shipping and handling. • A Different Soul Getting to Know Tom Wurth
a different style, a different sound A Different Soul Getting to Know Tom Wurth There are words that resonate with Tom Wurth. You will hear him talk about “staying constant,” being “real” and “natural.” They resonate in the songs he writes, those he chooses to record and in every aspect of his career. It isn’t that Tom Wurth does not embrace change and growth. He has experienced a lot of that musically as he met milestone after milestone in his career. At the same time though, he believes that music can be a “constant” for most people and they crave consistency from an artist. Whether you sit down to talk about his career, where he has been, where he is going; or listen to the lyrics of each song, you will know his commitment to that real and natural music. It is music you can count on with every song and at every show. The new album A Different Soul shows that commitment. There are deep roots that brace this album. Roots from his small town up-bringing to his musical roots that are evident with the collaborations found on this new project which includes Vince Gill, T. Graham Brown and John Ford Coley. Out of the gate, at only twenty years of age, Tom Wurth was nominated for a Grammy. That particular milestone built a foundation for his career. The Grammy experience fresh in his mind, Wurth pushed forward with his songwriting aspirations. Wurth initially signed as a staff writer with Belden; later signing with one of the largest publishers in the world, BMG Music Publishing.

  • Restless Heart
RESTLESS HEART Restless Heart lead singer Larry Stewart can remember the exact moment and place his life began to change forever. “I was driving east on I-40 from West Nashville into town to an appointment,” he recalls. “Back then, I was listening to what we were doing in my Jeep Cherokee every day. I had turned the radio on, and ‘Let The Heartache Ride’ was right in the middle of the acapella intro.” Stewart had been living with the song for a while, and hearing it through his car speakers wasn’t that big of a deal – until he looked at the stereo and saw the numbers 97.9. “It didn’t sink in because I had it in the tape deck for days, then I realized ‘That’s the radio. It’s WSIX.’ I pulled over on the shoulder around White Bridge Road and sat there with my car idling. It was like yesterday.” ‘Yesterday’ has come full circle for Restless Heart. Then one of Nashville’s newest acts, the band is celebrating their 30th Anniversary in 2013, and Dave Innis enjoys the musical ride as much as ever. “I think it’s been an amazing legacy, and it’s been such an honor to have been part of an organization that is still together doing it after thirty years with the same five original guys, and it’s more fun than ever.” John Dittrich, Greg Jennings, Paul Gregg, Dave Innis, and Larry Stewart – the men who make up Restless Heart have enjoyed one of the most successful careers in Country Music history, placing over 25 singles on the charts – with six consecutive #1 hits, four of their albums have been certified Gold by the RIAA, and they have won a wide range of awards from many organizations – including the Academy of Country Music’s Top Vocal Group trophy.
