CHILDREN’S LITURGY OF THE WORD

We are blessed to have volunteers who help with Children’s Liturgy of the Word. As the descripons below indicate, this is an opportunity for our young children to be instructed about the weekend readings at their age level. It is a win‐win situaon. The parents are beer able to concentrate by themselves and their children can enjoy learning in a differ‐ ent way.

Wiggly Worshipers: Children from pre‐school through kindergarten are invited to be dismissed with a catechist aer the Opening Prayer to experience their own Liturgy of the Word for their age group. They learn about God in different ways (music, coloring, discussing). The Gospel message is designed to be age appropriate for them.

This will be a silent, guided retreat based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. It’s a peaceful break from the chaos and confusion of everyday life.
