How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord Almighty! Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Blessed are those whose strength is in you, you have set their hearts on pilgrimage. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord bestows favor and honor; No good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

Pray for the New Believer in your email who has recently come to Christ through the ministry outreach of CURE. Continue to pray for the impact we have on patients, both physically and spiritually.

Afghanistan Praise God for His continued covering over the CURE hospital and its ability to provide excellent care within a difficult financial and war torn environment.

Pray for the children who will be healed of cleft lip/cleft palate this month. Pray also for our expat hospital leadership and the anointing of the Holy Spirit on their lives as they find effective ways to minister to patients, caregivers and hospital staff.

Bethlehem Praise God for encouraging meetings and prospects for establishing a presence in Bethlehem.

Pray that we will continue to wait upon the Lord and trust in His perfect wisdom as He guides us through continuing negotiations.

Dominican Republic Praise God for the success of the Haitian Orthopedic Fellowship program at our CURE Dominican hospital. This program provides six months of critical training for a Haitian surgeon to address the ongoing needs of his country.

Pray for the hospital leadership as they continue to restructure the operations of the hospital to better address the needs of the Santo Domingo community and provide a long term sustainability model for the facility.

Egypt Praise God for the physically disabled children who were able to receive care from our doctors at the Good Shepherd and Anglo American hospitals. Praise Him that we have been able to resume operations after the riots shut down the program for several weeks in February.

Pray for Derek Johnson as he travels to this month to finalize business related to CURE’s property in Cairo.

Ethiopia Praise God for the ongoing cleft lip/cleft palate that is being performed at the CURE Children’s Hospital of . These are transforming the lives of the children and their families and also opening doors to unreached people groups. Praise also that prayers have been answered and Dr. Asmamaw has returned to work after experiencing some difficult health issues – your prayers have been answered!

Pray for Dr. Francis Nyiiro as he provides high quality orthopedic surgical care to disabled children. Pray also for our ongoing search for an anesthesiologist to replace Dr. Kaiser as he plans to return to his home country of Pakistan later this month.

Haiti Praise God that Dr. Francel Alexis, the orthopedic fellow who has been in training in our Dominican Republic hospital will be returning to in June to serve the people of his country.

Pray for the 800,000 people that are still in temporary tented camps. Pray for land to become available to allow them to move into transitional housing. Pray also for the Presidential runoff election that will be held on March 20. Pray for non violence, a fair process and for both of the presidential candidates and outgoing President to accept the results.

Honduras Praise God that our Spiritual Director, Aracely Castillo, was able to attend a recent conference in the US to share the story of the spiritual ministry at the CURE hospital.

Pray for Dr. Ned and Bunny Schwentker as Bunny is no longer receiving treatment for her ovarian cancer. Earlier this month, they had the opportunity to travel to Honduras to visit the staff and renew friendships. Please continue to pray for Bunny as she bravely endures her fight with cancer.

Kenya Praise God for the report that we received from our CURE Kijabe Spiritual Director, Christine Kithome “Many parents were grateful for the work CURE is doing to change their long time disappointments and rejections by their communities into great testimonies of hope and joy that they carry back with them to their villages.” These comments were made after a recent team of ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) surgeons performed surgeries at our AIC CURE hospital.

Pray for ongoing support of the Clubfoot program from private and government donors, community pastors and clinical staff throughout the country. Since the CURE Clubfoot program was initiated in Kenya, over 3,400 children to date have been healed.

Malawi Praise God for the ongoing development of the CUREKids program at our Beit CURE hospital and its ability to provide details on sponsorship for children. Once a child has been sponsored, the CUREKids program can then keep donors informed of the child’s progress. Praise also for the progress of the new day surgery facility being built on the hospital grounds.

Pray for the looming economic decline of the country and our ability to maintain our level of care despite increasing inflation and currency devaluation.

Niger Praise God for the CURE spiritual team. They recently planned mobile clinics to three hospitals to begin to build relationships with local communities and hospitals. They discovered that it will be possible to show the Jesus film openly once the leadership of the hospitals understood the mission of CURE. Praise also for the growing number of patients visiting the hospital as a result of our presence and reputation being made known in .

Pray for our Medical Director, Dr. Gary Roark and his family as they mourn the recent tragic death of his niece. Pray also for the hospital staff as they continue to hone the management process and hospital activities to effectively execute the mission of this brand new facility.

Uganda Praise God for the neurosurgeon from who provided coverage in our CURE Children’s hospital which allowed our Medical Director, Dr. John Mugamba, to attend important meetings in the US in early March.

Pray for the single mothers who bring their children to our hospital for treatment. Some of these mothers have been abandoned by their husbands due to the birth of a disabled child or are widows. In either situation, they face the challenges of caring for a disabled child and economic hardship.

United Arab Emirates Praise God for the growing reputation of the CURE Oasis hospital. A reputation based not only on quality but also on its Christian foundation and compassion.

Pray for the hospital’s efforts to establish itself as a trusted Christian source within the community of Al Ain and the government of Abu Dhabi. Pray also for the Oasis hospital’s efforts to reach the neighboring country of Oman with the message of God’s Kingdom.

Zambia Praise God for the wonderful story entitled “The visit of our “old little friend” that we received from our Beit CURE hospital of : Tulimbe Kambwili was one of the first patients that was operated on in 2007. He recently visited the hospital and had this to say to the children in the wards “Do not give up, I was like you sometimes back. The operations I know are painful but endure because that is the only way you can be fine. God is there and I know you will heal too.” His mother was asked if she told him what to say and amazingly she said “no, indeed these were words from deep down his words”.

Pray for the hospital’s recruitment efforts to fill the open human resource and financial controller leadership positions. The mission of CURE is to heal the sick and proclaim the Kingdom, and the role of each staff person is vital to the fulfillment of that mission. Pray that each of these vital positions will be filled.

CURE Clubfoot Worldwide (CCW) Praise God for the recent report that we received from . The counselor, Moses, reports that the numbers of Christians in his church are growing because of the clubfoot clinics. He recently invited a couple of mothers and their children to his church. When they showed how their children’s clubfeet had been corrected with the help of the clinics and Jesus, many people approached Moses to say that they would spread the word and bring more people to church. The church is growing!

Pray that more people will come to a personal knowledge and relationship with the Lord as a result of our clubfoot clinics.

Home Office Praise God for the following recent hire: Laurel Kautzmann, Executive Coordinator. In this position, Laurel reports to our Chief Operating Officer, Mark Bush. Her duties will include the preparation and editing of documents, letters, minutes and memos. She will also maintain online information for Executive Directors and coordinate monthly Elluminate meetings; provide administrative assistance for all new hospital activities and assist with preparation for CHMS (CURE Healthcare Management Services) activities. Welcome to the CURE family Laurel.
