With the support from Hong Leong (RMC Northern Region), JCI Pearl () together with Asia Community Service and Engtek Community Service will be organizing the Merdeka Charity Carnival on 27th August 2011 which will be held at PISA Concourse in Relau, Penang.

With the as our Guest of Honour, the carnival’s main objective is to raise a target amount of RM 800,000.00 for the benefit of several worthy causes, namely:

1. Asia Community Service to sustain its 4 major projects, servicing over 400 children with disabilities (www.asiacommunityservice.org)

2. Junior Chamber International Pearl for distribution to (a) 6 schools (Jit Sin Independent High School; Penang Chinese Girls’ (Private) High School; SJK(C) Moh Ghee; SJK(C) Sum Sun; SJK(C) Pei Chai; SJK(T) and (b) 7 NGOs (JCI Pearl; Women’s Centre for Change; Bold Penang; SPCA; Sam Cheng Everloving Care Welfare Society; Pusat Harian Harapan Bakti; NKF-Lions Dialysis Centre Penang).

In order to make this event a success, we would like to appeal for your support in the following manner -

Asia Community Service (ACS) is a non-profit organization which is providing Dato Gillian Y.K Teh direct and support services to young children and people with disabilities and Organising Chairperson their families through its various centres and programmes in Penang. Merdeka Charity Carnival 2011 Engtek Community Service (ECS) is the social arm of Eng Teknologi Holdings Bhd, which has been set up to contribute towards the improvement of the local community and to demonstrate good corporate citizenship.
