The Connexion Band is honored to share in your special day. We look forward to your celebration and request that you assist us in planning for your reception.
When planning your floor plan, please note that the band requests an area of 10 x 16, if possible, and two separate 20-amp circuits. This is only if you have a choice, if not, don't worry, we will make things fit. To create the best interaction between the band and dancing guests, the dance floor should be directly in front of the band. Also, if the bar and/or sweet table are in another room, it directs guests away from the dance floor as well as making it difficult to communicate the bouquet & garter toss, special dances, and other announcements. If possible, try to keep everyone in the same room.
If you are planning on picking a few songs that you do or do not want played at your reception, please make your selections no later than one month prior. Choosing every song that the band will play may have a negative effect on the outcome of your guest’s enjoyment. Keeping the dance floor packed is influenced by many factors, including the order and style in which the songs are played, the way songs are mixed together, the age of your guests, the energy level of the guests that day, and the bands interaction with your guests. Rest assured, The Connexion Band is extremely proficient in choosing the perfect music to motivate your guests to dance. Your special songs like the 1st dance, father/daughter and mom/son songs must be selected no later than one month prior. Our song list is always updated on our web site at www.Connexionband.com.
We provide our own mix of prerecorded music for cocktail/dinner hours and on our two 10-minute band breaks. If you would like to create your own playlist on Spotify for each, please create 3 separate folders, name them cocktail hour, dinner hour and band breaks and share the playlist url links with me. Note: cocktail hour – 16 songs, dinner hour – 26 songs and band breaks - 7 songs.
