On a unanimous voice vote Representative Carlson was elected Vice Chairman. In response to a question from Chairman Holmberg, the Director indicated traditional business for the Legislative Management is to set two meeting dates--one in May to review study directives and establish priorities for discretionary studies.

A quorum was declared by the President. COMMUNICATION FROM SECRETARY OF STATE ALVIN A. JAEGER December 1, 2014 As specified in Section 54-03-03 of the North Dakota Century Code, I certify the attached list is a true and correct record of members of the Senate elected in the General Election held on November 4, 2014. The State Canvassing Board certified the results of the election on November 14, 2014. As specified in Section 16.1-15-45 of the North Dakota Century Code, Certificates of Election were then prepared by the Secretary of State and signed by the Governor, the Clerk of the Supreme Court (as the designated representative of the State Canvassing Board), and the Secretary of State. Each newly elected member of the Legislative Assembly was then issued their Certificate of Election (copies enclosed), as specified in Section 16.1-15-46 of the North Dakota Century Code. In addition, in accordance with Section 4, Article XI, of the North Dakota Constitution, an Oath of Office (or affirmation) form was provided to each Senator, with instructions to execute the Oath before a Notary Public and file it with the Secretary of State before he or she assumes the duties of their office.

The ND-PAC Committee Has Endeavored to Serve Our Brothers
The ND-PAC Committee has endeavored to serve our brothers and sisters in Local 647 by endorsing and supporting candidates that support the energy industry that we work in and share our union position on political issues. The PAC Committee developed a questionnaire for all candidates to fill out and return before any support or endorsement would be provided. A candidate who did not return the questionnaire or scored poorly did not get support regardless of party affiliation. The following is a list of candidates that met the threshold established by the PAC Committee to be endorsed by Boilermakers Local 647. Chairman Holmberg welcomed committee members and said the business today is to receive the report of the Special Committee on the Resolution of Senate Bill No. 2022 and consider the reconvening of the 64th Legislative Assembly. The Chairman called on Mr. Brady Larson, Assistant Legislative Budget Analyst and Auditor, for a review of the recommendations contained in Special Committee on the Resolution of Senate Bill No. 2022 - Final Report. Mr. Larson said the recommendations include that the Legislative Management reconvene the 64th Legislative Assembly to complete the work on Senate Bill No. 2022. The committee discussed the report. Senator Axness questioned why the process used by the special committee was not used in April when the Legislative Assembly was in session. Chairman Holmberg said the Legislative Management has to deal with the facts before them, and although the end of the session may have not been ideal, it cannot be redone.
