She moved to Ireland 10 years ago. Coming from NYC to reside in rural Ireland posed two huge problems for Jena when it cameFREE to food. Before event arriving in West Cork, Jena ate out five out of seven nights. Her diet was primarily ethnic food. New York is a cornucopia of food options from all over the world. Jena’s palate was never bored. After moving to West Cork, two main obstacles came to light. First, Jena had to begin cooking all her meals. Secondly, she had to recreate the foods she loved from back home. This meant getting creative, doing research and finding places to source her ingredients. To make matters more difficult, she decided to eat a primarily vegan diet. Seeing cows and sheep romping around the fields made it difficult for her to think of cooking them. The more she began to cook and explore, the more she loved the process and the more she began to share her meals and knowledge. Jena is looking forward to sharing and giving the diners a taste of what she loves to do in a seven course vegan Korean and Vietnamese tasting menu.
